What is the point of buddy list?

What is the pooint of the buddy list? it doesnt really change anything, you can normally see whos online, and send PMs to anyone... so whats the point?

I originally thought we could mass message to our friends list, but I don't see that option anymore... Is there a possibility of this being implemented soon? I would personally like that, so whenever I go off for a while, or something, I can mass message my friends ;)

So far the only thing it does is put a cross next to the names of the people who are on your buddy list.

It's just a feature in vB that the board doesn't use.

It's vB trying to imitate an IM program, I think.

But you can send a mass PM to all your buddies at once. About the only thing useful.

But it was introduced ages ago and yet the mass PM option wasn't for users then. *shrugs*
