View Full Version : New SC Name Colors?!

Well, I was playing with map editors, and I think I found some new colors...I've attached a link to the map I made containing examples. The top row [owned by player 1] unit names have the 'new' colors, and the bottom row are the origional ones from SC X-tra editor.

These have probely been found/known of/used a lot before, but I haven't seen them, and they're not native to SC Xtra-Editor.

Please don't flame me if I'm wrong and these are eith old news, or have been known of, but they're new to me!

UPDATE:
To make custom colors:
Load a current color into a hex editor by copy + paste into notepad, saving, then opening in a HEX editor.

Chenge the HEX around, I don't know what doe swhat, but I made a few colors not listed here.

Hey. I think you discovered something. I was wondering when someone is going to find the new player chat colors work for unit names. The new colors are much better too! Possibly someone might have discovered this already. But I'll give you the credit. GJ

You think it can do patterns, like say Pink with Purple Pokadots?

I have seen all of those but the Bright Red, and Deeper Blue...I really like that Deeper Blue. You should find more and post another map ^_^

do I need to open it SC Xtra-Editor? cause I tried in star forge, SCM draft and star craft and my SC Xtra-Editor doesn't work.

These are the colors that were added for the new feature (displaying player names as their ingame color).

That list has a lot, but while messing around in Hex Workshop, I found some not present on there...I think ><.

Just play it, and look at name colors. I think there's some different shades of teal, but nothing spectacular :D

These new colors are neat :D
