Remembering this thread (http://www.warboards.org/showthread.php?t=9388) entitled "The Scream destroyed" and the disappointment that news seemed to bring my fellow Warboards Members it gave me great pleasure when I came across this today.

‘The Scream’ recovered by police. (http://www.ft.com/cms/s/01126c04-3920-11db-a21d-0000779e2340.html)

It seems neither The Scream or Madonna was destroyed and has now been recovered by the police.

Good to hear it.

They truly are master pieces with no measurable value.

I like how the stupid Fox News guy completely mispronounces Munch. :D

I never knew how it was pronounced, I've only read about him :/

Explain.

It's pronounced like the English word "monk." Basically. Yeah I'm glad that they recovered that. I remember several years ago visiting the Munch museum in Vienna the year that they reopened it or whatever and I saw the Scream along with a lot of his other stuff. It really is great work, a lot of his stuff I found even more appealing than the Scream. What a great guy.

Also dude where is EdvardMunch? I miss his in-depth psychological interpretations of everyone's arguments. ;)

That's probably precisely why they stole them. And if you say that they wouldn't be able to sell the painting, a bunch of theives once stole the Mona Lisa and proceeded to sell hundres of forgeries for exorbant amounts.

While I'm not always a fan, I can appreciate culture and what it's given us so far, so I'm very glad these are returned.
