all you have to really get down is the picking style, and then you can play almost anything seeing as they have a tendancy to tune the strings up or down in comparison to actually move their fingers more than they have to... Don‘t get me wrong, I love the banjo, its just the lazy man's instrument

I don't think I know many people who do that..they retune (which isn't lazy, :P), sure, but they also do a lot of finger jumping.

I think the question everybody is asking themselves here, is why the fuck does anybody care enough about the banjo to argue over it? It's a fucking banjo. Anybody know any famous banjoists? Who invented the banjo? I thought so.

The only thing anybody remembers is the dualing banjos from Deliverance, and frankly anybody who saw that movie is still trying to forget it. It's like Pulp Fiction except all the characters are two-dimensional and uninteresting.
