Help! Could somebody PLEASE tell me where to download the staredit patches? You know, the ones that let you put a ling onto a terran player? And let you put Acturus Mengsk on the map??? I had one on my old comp, but I lost it! Where do you get the good ones? I've been looking on starcraft.org mods, but the only 1 I found is a little, pathetic. Help!

Try looking in the Maps and mods depot under the Resource Guide and look for either Starcraft X-tra Editor, Starforge, or ScmDraft2. There are now patches per say for staredit but those are 3rd party programs that let you do those things.
Following U-238's wise wordings may I also suggest ya to pick SCXE 1st, since it's the most similar to StarEdit itself. Imho, you should leave the other two 'till when you're craving for more advanced features to put inside your maps, like for instance colouring players with other colours different than their usual ones. ;)

I think you were looking for this page: http://www.starcraft.org/downloads/MappingDownloads
Download StarCraft X-tra Editor and you'll have what you want: http://www.starcraft.org/downloads/MappingDownloads/MapEditors/StarCraft%20X-tra%20Editor%202.6
Or you could try out the other programs on that page.
