I...ummm, well I remade the H-Dog maps. or rather, Im in the proccess of remaking them. I finihed the first one, can I get some feedback?

Decent.

There's a solid understanding of mechanics, just not a lot of flair.

I'd still like to see Transmissions instead of Display Text triggers, but that's your choice.

I do like the ability to use the Prisoners as either a meat wall or to conserve them until you can trade them for Marines.

As the basis for a starting map its alright, it could just use some touching up, adding sounds, making the cinematic scenes a little more involved, things like that.

Well, im working on UNLOCKING the doors, mnot opening them, but Transmissions need sound, and I dont got them...

What do you mean by "Meatwall"?

"Locked" doors are just doors that require an extra condition or two in their open trigger.

For example:

CONDITION
Switch 1 is 'set'
Current Player brings at least 1 men to Door 1
ACTION
Disable Doodad state for all left upper level door for All Players at Door 1

Until Switch 1 is set, the door won't open, so it is "locked" in a sense.

Sounds can be gotten anywhere, there are tons of sites that have free .WAVS. You can even look in the FAQ to find out how to use SC free sounds.

When I say "meatwall", I'm referring to the tactic of using other units to take damage while your main attacking units stay behind them and take out the enemy. The civilians can take the damage while the Marines and H-Dog kill the Zerg without being harmed.

Depending on what they are.

Full length songs will push a map into the MBs, but with SC Free sounds you can add what you want (as long as it's from the game).

Awesome. Although you did remove my two favorite parts of the original, grave robbing and insanely overpowered heroes, the terrain was a vast improvement and much more concise, H-Dog held onto his sarcasm, and it had its own uniqueness even though it was based off another map.

That said, I like my version better. Only because I'm bias. It was my first map ever, it's got a place in my heart. You've given me some ideas on what to do with the map if I ever decide to remake it myself.

Got a character development problem with it though. If you're going to keep the same story, H-Dog wouldn't have abandoned his comrades in the end of that mission, he's still to idealistic for that. If the series is going to have a different ending, I look forward to seeing it.

Well, the plot later on assumes that they get in ships shortly after him...
Also, I realy had to pay tribute to that one computer "H-Dogsaga.com? what a boring site..." so I put in the "Wierd" part.

So you klnow, I have to change the whole psi emmiter thing. They actuly cant be used as control devices, as it was implied in that broodwar mission. Kerrigan used it to excite the zerg enugh to regain control links over them, the psi disruptor was basicly turning the Zerg braindead.

I think im gona make it simmilar to the UED and their nerostims, ill use data discks and rename them.

Hmm, had no idea Psy Emitters were unable control the Zerg. What were they being used for in the mission Reign of Fire exactly? Thought they were being used to control the Zerg but now that I've played through that mission again, I think she could have also been using them to counter the Psy Disruptor's control.

hello? anyfeedback on mark 2 of the first map? I need to know if the times for transmissions are correct. (I lost my broodwar CD)
