Well, for one thing, it'd be nice if you would EDIT your posts instead of posting new ones if no one else has said anything. It's more courtesy than anything else, but it also helps to keep the spam down and the postcounts accurate.

Anyways, you're best off getting someone to train you. I don't have too much time for it, anymore, but I think someone else could help you out.

Yes, but past that, they don't help in multiplayer. In fact, you can win most by simply turtling, which is teaching you bad habits for later down the road.

I would say Terran because zerg requires alot of micro and macro because they have to mass units and constantly expand and protoss players need to have good micro because their units are so valubable and they reguire you to micro spells.

go to op swbk or op org.network, as commander pointed out. there are always ppl there around noon time, and some even on near midnight (Sup middy:P). you can almost always find a game. try to find a person that you can rely to be your skill level. me and commander are constanly playing against each other, working off each other. you should do the same.

yeah, I wasn't saying the campaigns are useless. However, only the later levels really test you, the rest of the time you can just turtle, and you don't even have to build masses of defence, just expand real slow. Then again, this is just how it turned out for me, a bigt, slow moving turtle :P

Basically, it's best to practise more agressive tactics. Sure, turtlings the easy way, but it also develops bad habits. I've only just learn't to break the whole turtling habit since playing DoW, of all games.

Semms like for about five min to me :( lol either terran or toss as strating race. Terran, easy hotkeys, can build anywhere, um can wall in.....Protoss, super easy macro, your main two units come out of your first unit producing building and yeah. BUt really, its all up to you. I wouldnt reccommend zerg, cuz you have to use micro. And unlike terran or toss, you have many units to use, not just different ways to use units. Which makes z harder as a starter race.

Haha! Nice one! Here's some karma for your troubles.

Anyways, the first thing you need to learn is your BO's, or build orders. That means knowing when to build what units. Every race fares better with a different BO in different MU's or match ups (what race you are playing against.)

For example, as a zerg player, in the Zerg vs. Terran MU, I would do this:
Make drones until my population is full.
Build an overlord once I have a 100 minerals.
build 3 more drones once my overlord is finished.
send one drone to my ramp, and build a hatcherie there.
save up until I have 200 minerals and make a spawning pool.
Etc. Etc.

Now, I'm not a Terran player so I can't teach you any Terran BO's, but I'm sure someone else will. Once you know the BO for each MU off by heart practicing it against a computer, you should try playing people on Bnet. You can also of course practice the BO's against a friend if you want.

Blizz AI is only for starter practise though. It always follows the same pattern, which seems to be: If you're late in producing units, they will zergling rush. If you have your units out fairly fast, they will wait until they have a larger force. First attack will be hydras and zerglings. Nest attack the same, but with lurkers added. Don't really see mutalisks until later in the game. And whatever you see when playing the CPU, it will almost 100% sure NOT be what you will see when playing another person.

CPU is good for trying out different build orders, and maybe practice some micro/hotkey. But when it comes to tactics and opponent enginuity (I just KNOW I spelled that wrong...) you need a live person (as opposed to someone dead...they really don't put up much of a fight).

I'm an intermediate T player, but I'll gladly help you sometime.
I'm also on US.East, often in op swbk. My sig is blupp.wb.

EDIT: Errrr....my example for what Blizz AI does is of course assuming you're facing Zerg. You won't see a zergling rush if you face Terran, of course. It was just to show it pretty much does the same thing all the time.

I'm nothing amazing at SC, but I prefer facing humans because humans are fallable in many different ways. With a computer, they generally have a few weaknesses, making them easy. But humans, it works both ways. They can be creative and unpredictable... but they can make many numbers of different mistakes.

And I must proudly say that I have now played his AI 10 times or so, and beaten it each time (all MU's with me as T, on LT and Azaelea). 1v1 though... Blizz AI I can go 1v2, or maybe even 1v3 and win. 1v2 on Ahzz's AI would kill me, I think.

It's been in an exe format for some time now so you just double click on it to run.

Also it's not too hard in a 1v1 situation but if you get them in a 2v2, 3v3, or even a 4v4 its gets harder due to the fact that they'll all gang up on one player at a time. Think about it, mass tanks with mutas and speedlots. Nearly impossible to defeat for one person.

Kk ou cant blow up ur own base unless you hit cancel construcution on a buliding in process Ok, next you may have attcked your own base what were you playing as Protoss (wierd Religous aliens. Terran (humans ) Or zerg (disgusting ailen race . if your not sure to kill something scroll over and click it. If its Green its yours. Yellow is ally (teammate) , rescueable (move to it and its yours) or neutral (minerals {crystals} vespene geiser {blowing green volcanoes} or crittters{little animals waalkin around with no purpose[they dont attack]} they may also be remnants of an defated player red means its in enemy kill it. Note: Engaging an enemy may lead to an attack on you. If i just confused you Ignore Everything i said.
And yes you may attack your own base and army.

Different people are different with other people. Titan to me is a good teacher. However, Titan and Kismet teach me differently. I like help from different people because no one teaches the same, and I take pieces of what I've learned and put them together. I favor Kismet's teachings because the way he teaches me, is the way I can understand the best. However, when Kismet isn't on, there is Titan and my other teachers. I don't know if what I'm saying makes sense to everyone...

Ready? Listen closely Kae, I'm about to teach you all of SC...

First you have these big monster things that look like housepets. Then you have the human looking flesh bags, and lastly the fire filled blue people. If you choose the big monster things, very easily rush with a few of those dog things when you get nine beatles, it wins vs most noobs.

If you are playing the meatbags... Well... You can build lots of the explodey ones that shoot fire just cause it'll look kewl. Finally, if you choose the fire filled blue people, get the ones that run real fast with the 2 lightsabers on their hands, you can have a bonfire each time they explode!

Kirby gave me one of the best games I've played though...thanks to his uberly expensive scouts I managed obtain more resources and crush him with 16 gols, 14 tanks, 3 vessels, and 8 vults...

All this with 2 factories the whole game, just to be fair. :D

On a serious not, I probably could learn to play SC, but I don't find it as intuitive. The previous two examples are just more my style of play. I still love the story and stuff, but I don't really have time to 'learn2play' what with A levels and the attraction of other games.
