You all know about Dell recalling over 4.1 million laptop batteries a couple weeks back. Well... Apple is doing the same thing.

Expect more recalls in the future.

Isnt it just lithium batteries that are doing this? If you let them overheat, they go boom :/

Sucks for the people who got burned, but I'm not overly concerned with it.

Hmm, I wonder if this explains why my old iBook died. The battery was completely shot. Anyway, not really a problem anymore unless the new MacBooks turn out to have the same problem. ^_^

All batteries die eventually. They usually last around two years.

As that article says though, this is only affecting their older PowerPC-based PowerBooks.. they're just covering their bases recalling the same Sony batteries that they used in that model of laptop as those that Dell has in their exploding masterpieces.

I'm not too concerned. =]
