FYI, if u think about it, Blizzard obviously has been working on these projects for awhile. So if they announce it in 2007, that makes it good for a 2008 release, marking the 10 year anniversary release of the Original Starcraft game

It would either be SC2 in 2008 or a collector's edition to commemorate it's 10th anniversary. Here's to hoping it's SC2. If it is SC2 its been a hell of a long wait.

O and Skullflower, It could be Diablo 3 (WC4 is quite easily the most unrealistic and uncalled for possibility at this point cuz I know enough about how marketing works to realise that)... cuz I heard something about blizz north way back when. Only prob though is they left for flagship studios a little less of the way back when... so ya. XP

It wouldnt be Diablo 3, Diablo 2 came out right before Warcraft III, so the Diablo game (even though its an RPG) will have to get off without another one untill Starcraft II.
Its been almost 10 years since this game has been given a sequel. Since then Blizzard has released Diablo 2, Warcraft III, World of Warcraft, and working with Legendary Pictures to make a Warcraft movie. Thats an RPG, an RTS, an MMORPG, and a MOVIE since STarcraft I was completed. In that time Starcraft has literally developed a MASSIVE following around the world. It may not be the biggest, but its up there as the best RPG game EVER MADE. Im beating a dead horse with this rant but seriously people need to get it through their thick skulls. BLIZZARD needs to understand that STarcraft has its OWN SYNDICATED TELEVISION SHOW in Korea. WARCRAFT DOESNT HAVE THAT WoW DOESNT HAVE THAT. DIABLO DOESNT HAVE THAT, but Starcraft does :P

P.S. - Whenever Blizzard gets around to giving us what the fans have raved for and wanted for the last 8 years, they will literally destroy Halo 2 in first day sales....
Starcraft may be old, but it has 10 YEARS of people who grew up playing the game and critics be dammed if it doesnt destroy the console world in sales, idk what will

I have been following these rumors myself, of all the rumors that have circulated before these some how seem promising.
I understand why blizzard has taken so long, I dare say they have worked, at least creatively, on Starcraft 2 the entire time. Anything they release that bares the name Starcraft has to be brilliant. In my opinion SC is the one game that has never been topped by any other, it just has "some thing" that no other game has ever even come close to matching. Blizzard will be very careful with anything that bares the name Starcraft.

Yea, blizz isn't going to simply release a game called "starcraft 2" unless it's going to drive all other rts games (and now that I mention it all games period) into the ground. I mean really would you rather have starcraft 2 right now and have it have a horrible storyline crap garphics still and nothing really changed in it? I mean you'd have the SC2 that everyone's wanting. If they take their time that's fine by me. But I expect results. I don't want some game that's going to be on a shelf or on ebay 3 weeks after I buy it.

Nop it won't be released in 2007, SC2 will be only announced in 2007 but released in 2008, sorry to disapoint you. It's been in the works for some time now but as things go in blizzard it may even be released in late 2008!

While Sams wasn't ready to spill the beans just yet, he did say Blizzard "will have a major product announcement in 2007," and that Blizzard was currently working on at least three other unannounced titles at the moment.

This could mean yet another WC and D3 and SC2.

to tell the truth the only games i like by blizz are wc and sc. i never liked d1 or d2. but if st2 does ever come out and its in 3D then i will cry. the 3D of wc3 made online not fun. that and the grafics of wc3 all 3D like that would not look good on starcraft at all.

i couldnt see a D3 or a WC4 or a SC2 come be announced at the same time because each of these would need too many people to work on, unless blizzard has bought some more 3rd party software developers.

The least likely to come out will be WC4, mainly because of WoW and the exp, a SC2 is likely as is a D3.

A SC2 will definetly be in full 3D and be useable over battle net, as will D3, none of these will be monthly fee's.

But the thing is, is blizzard only Starcraft, Warcraft and Diablo?
Is there an all new game coming?

I think Blizzard may want to break the cycle of continuelly make sequels to their games...

Look at SC sales like 2 million or something, as was D2 but WC3 did not achieve this, SC has a huge community still big Blizzard sponcered tourny's.

Starcraft has sold almost 10 MILLION copies, not 2 million.
And yes make sequels to games shouldnt be the thing for a game company to work with. But wouldnt it be great for a new Blizzard game? Sc 2 would be nice, and the potential for another game to enter battle.net would be awesome. When these games come out though, I bet Battle.net will go fully 3d or something as close to it as possible.
