Any Pink Floyd fans here?
My favorite album is Dark Side of the Moon.
(Hint: Pink Floyd is very good to listen while you are intoxicated.)
Pink Floyd is pretty good, but they don't blow my socks off. I like "Welcome to the Machine".

i had a great moment one time when i was driving at night, in the snow. snow was gently falling all around me and i had dark side of the moon playing, it was surreal. i wont telly you whether i was intoxicated or not, but let me say it was an out of this world experience with all the snow and stuff, me isolated in this car, with the heater on, and all this snow and white blanket covering the old village.

Heh, I can almost feel that. :)
You're lucky you get snow - I'm stuck here with the heat :S
There's something about the melody of Pink Floyd that's really eerie and catchy in a good way...

Wish You Where Here is by far my favorite album, although the song "Echoes" from Meddle also ranks among my favorites. Most of the stuff after the wall I didn't like so much. Sure, David Gilmore is a great guitarist, but their style changed a good deal after Waters left. Of course, I'm sure you could say the same thing about when Gilmore came on to replace Syd Barret.
Anyway, yes, I do like the Floyd quite a bit.
I've only heard Dark Side of the Moon and The Wall. Both are very "out there" so it's not something I listen to often, but I do enjoy them once in a while.

Most of their stuff sound very similar, and it gets tiresome listening to their monotonous vocals and long drawn out guitar solos.
pink has a lot of win in it.
i can't really tell a single thing i like, though. overall good, but some tracks are a bit long.. when i'm not in the mood.

I <3 Pink Floyd. Even though I've gotten over my intial ZOMG PINK FLOYD phase, I still think Floyd is one of the best, if not the best, group of the latter 20th century.

Haha, if you think those albums are "out there" you should try listening to Piper at the Gates of Dawn or Saucerful of Secrets...now those are Out There, but I like 'em. My favorite album is Meddle, but my favorite song is "Wish You Were Here."

Lol, they're extremely diverse, especially from one album to the next, but usually their albums are very cohessive so that might explain why you think most of their stuff sounds similar. You should check out "The Nile Song." One of the first hard rock songs in the history of the world.
