This is my first custom (beta) and I would like for you guys to play + rate it so I can improve it further.

I have been hard at work testing it out after every little or big change (nearly 30 versions exist) but I still feel it is lacking.

So here is the MegaUpload link for it- http://www.megaupload.com/?d=VWBSREQ0

Description

I sort of like to call it "Mini Starcraft" because it is generally faster-paced than normal Starcraft. For the most part, everything has been reduced including health, damage, shield, size, weapon, price, mana, time, and upgrades now go up to 5. I realize this isn't a very good description, but there are too many changes to list.

Please try to help me make this better :)

Lets see. Decreasing the unit stats and costs has been done in a lot of mods, its not really original anymore. I was shocked that the siege tank doesn't have an attack, its original attack was weak, so the tank was kind of useless. The firebat is powerful, if its get close enough. Just needs a little more balancing.

Also, there are some Mini StarCraft mods, you just have to make yours stand out, like using IceCC for better animations.

K thanks for the review but remember this is my first custom and I don't really know how to use the Tblpad let alone IceCC. But I will definetely try to learn.

BTW, the seigetank lacking an attack was intentional, I want to figure out how to remove that ability and button.

if this is your first, i say, for a first, its not too bad. Also if your new to this don't try to learn icecc, without someone helping you. Tbl pad is easy, just open the stat_txt.tbl in your dat edit folder.

I was looking for a program to add/remove buttons on units and I think I came across two things: StarGraft and MemGraft but it says StarGraft is only compatible with 1.12b and MemGraft 1.07. Which one would I use to add/remove buttons in this day and age?

StarGraft is the older program, that's the one that should be working for 1.07. MemGraft is the newest one. Use MemGraft if your planning to do a mod with bottons. But, you and the users need to repatch StarCraft to 1.12b for you to play it.

You can use a handy program to quickly do that here;

It's either that or wait who knows how long until Firegraft is finished and see if it's made compatible with the latest version of Starcraft.

Or start on it now and not wait 3~6 months for Firegraft. Besides, you can just transport your MemGraft project to Firegraft. Well, if DoA is smart enough to do that. ;)

If not, it's a good idea to get used to botton editing before it comes out.
