....

What's the problem first of all?

This is probably a stupid question, however, did you put arr\ in front of the dats?

the problem is that it doesn't effect sc.
i gave an scv about 3000 shield points and i followed the steps correctly and i made sure of it but when i click on my mod.. the scv still has its original stats instead of my version.
And yes i typed in arr when that little box came up.

I think you may have saved the name wrong or didn't compile it properly

Tell us the steps you took to making your mod

ok, the programs i have are:
Arsenal III
DatEdit
WinMPQ
andMPQDraft.
i opened the datedit program as was told to on 1 of the tutorials.
Clicked on the scv unit, Enabled shield points and typed in 3000.
Changed its weapon to a C-10 Canister Rifle.
Saved it as "units.dat"
Opened WinMPQ, clicked on "new" and saved as scv.mpq.
Clicked on "Add" and double clicked the units.dat that i'm currently modifying.
Then a box came up and i typed "arr" and hit enter.
Then i opened MPQDraft and clicked on "Load MPQ Patch" i selected Starcraft from programs and Starcraft from Components.
Clicked "next" then "Browse for MPQ's" and found my scv.mpq file that i previously saved.
Then i clicked "Finish", Then starcraft loaded up, i chose a terran campaign map to test out the scv to see if it worked, and what do i find? original stats.. fusion cutter 5, 60hp etc..etc..

Ok, I see what's wrong

Solution:
Copy the original patch_rt from the SC folder and put it in your MPQDraft folder.

Then using the WinMPQ, open the copy of Patch_RT and drag your arr folder onto the program. That'll replace the arr file. Then try running the copy of patch_rt.

My question is, why didn't you use MPQCompactor?

If you copy and paste your error on google, you can probably find a solution to your problem there

Just turn off symantec... CtrlAltDel and end all of its related processes, and it should work.

ok.. i may be annoying you now :P but... there is no related processes to symantec.
The word isn't even mentioned on it.

sorry about that :P but im new to the forum :D and even if i did look on google..
the program that tells me it can help me kill runtime errors probably is an error.. i dont trust stuff like that. but if i can do it by process kill then i will, i just need to find out what processes are related to it.
