*Note: I wasnt sure where to post this thread, i thought about posting it in Members lounge, but since i'm relating it to SC i'll post it here. If i made a mistake about posting it in the wrong forum, feel free to move this thread for me.
Intro:
Mods, a overlooked aspect of any online forums. Created to keep Spam and profaninty under control. But does anybody really understand and know where the true existense of Moderaters come from? In this special session, we will explore how Mods came to existense, how they act, and what there TRUE purpose is in this world.
The Creation of Moderators
Long ago when the Xel-Naga created the infamous Protoss, they believed that this new race should have idols, or caretakers to watch after them. To help insure the survival and evolution of this delicate race. While designing these new caretakers, they discovered that the protoss were advancing too slow for there own good. The Protoss race was unable to grasp the idea of evolution and advancment too slow, and thus the Xel-Naga abandoned there experiments, leaving them to wither to there unknown fate.
The Xel-Naga decided to travel to a new star system, and came upon a fiery lava planet called "Zerus". As all of you know, they decided to start again with an new experiment called the Zerg. They were extermely pleased with there new test subjects, seeing how they evloved so fast. Thus this sparked the idea of the abadoned idea of Moderaters. The Xel-Naga went back to work on the Moderaters, turning there back on the Zerg momentairly.
When finished with there new creature.
Core Genus: Unknown
Height: 5 feet tall, 10 feet wide)
Gender: Unknown
Primary Role of the Zerg Colony: Caretaker, leader.
Short Discription: A small jelly like creature with now back bone, relys on the creep and protection of fellow Zerg to survive. Very smart, and commands all around it.
If you were smart enough to geuss it, yes the Moderaters were the first Cerebrates. Throughout the years, the cerebrates increased there knowledge and forms by asorbing new creatures and conquering new planets. The rest of the course of History needs no explanation as the Zerg eventually destroyed there creators, discovered Auir and the protoss, along with the Terran race.
How the Moderators gained new form, and behavior:
Orginally there never were 6 Cerebrates, there were a dozen. We knew that there were Zasz, and Daggoth. Important and loyal servants of the Overmind, along with the other commanding Cerebrates of the Zerg broods. So what was the fate of the other 6 cerebrates? Some say they were too weak and fragile to keep up with the zerg Brood, so they were orderd to be killed and decomposed into the creep, others say they stayed in there home star System. However the true reason was Envy.
These 6 Cerebrates envied others and themselves. They felt that they were not perfect and wanted to be perfect. They were disgusted with there wormish and fat bodies, wanting a more agile form like a Terran male. And this started the secret plotting of the Cerebrates to become everything they ever wanted. They retreatred from the Overmind and started there own observing, settling in the Wastelands and asorbing new bodies. They went through various forms to achieve there goal of asorbing a human, taking along the bodies and brains of birds, animals and fish. And this is what gives moderaters there personalites.
EXAMPLE:
BtsRhino- Where did this Rhino come from? Simple, he asorbed a Rhino animal and recived its personality and strengh. BTS is a very tough Moderator with a soft touch for family.
MidnightGladius- Its pretty obvious this Mod asorbed something from the dark, as Midnight is swift, powerful. Never tangle with this mod unless you know what your doing. But like most things that go bump in the dark, he can be "cute and cuddly" kind of guy.
HammockSleeper- Unforutanly this Moderater asorbed the form of a Sloth. The name explains it all.
How to protect yourself from Moderaters:
After reading this, you have discovered the un-imanginable truth about Moderaters. So your saftey may or may not be in Jeporady depending on the previous forms of these Mods. However there are simple counters to Mods:
[Terran Combat Suits and Gauss Rifles. The most basic form of protection.
Flamethrowers. - Will not damage them, but helps keeps them at bay.
Flares- They only temporaily blind the mod.
However, if you want to put down a Mod permantly, you will require the following:[/U]
2 Siege Tanks
a Hunter-Killer team comprised of Ghosts and Marines.
Well made Trap.
The tanks will tear through the form of the Mod, you may think that one tank is enough, however you are wrong about that. There skin is actually really tough Carpace that can change forms.
