I started to work on my first mod recently. It's a Halo mod. I have changed the names of all of the Terran units, and Protoss. I've substituted a couple of weapons. Plus because of two map makers, I've got 4 halo inspired maps. I do have a lot of programs, and i know how to use them, but I am not good at making sprites. If someone can help or give me tips please help. These are my planned Conversions right now:

Terran = Human
Marine = marine
Firebat = Shotgun marine
Medic = Medic
Ghost = SPARTAN II
Goliath = Mark IV
SCV = Technicians
Seige tank = Scorpion
Vulture = ATV
Wriath = Skyhawk
Valkyrie = Longsword
Battlecruisers = Halycyin-class ship
Science Vessel =Hover Warthog
Dropship = Pelican

Protoss = Covenant
Zealot = Black elite
Dragoon = Jackle
Reaver = Wriath
High templar = Hunters
dark templar = Gold elite
Archon = Brute
Photon Cannon = Shade
Dark Archon = prophet
Probe = scientist
Scout = Banshee
Corsair = Ghost
carrier = phantom
arbiter = shadow
observer = grunt
shuttle = dropship

Zerg = Flood & others
Zergling = Infection flood
Broodling(from the Queen) = Infection flood
Hydralisk = Covenant Flood
Lurker = ???
Drone = Reprotuction flood
Ultralisk = Hunter flood
Defiler = ???
Infested terrain = Human flood
Devourer = ???
Mutalisk = Monitor(343 Guilty Spark)
Guardian = Sentinal
Queen = Kamakazi flood
Scourge = Flying infection flood
Overlord = Carrier Flood

Nice list!

I would give you some tips, but I don't know what you don't already know. You can just ask if you have questions.

PS I think the word is spet Kamikaze

I know how to use unit editor on Arsenal III(and i might know how to use Tech editor, but i haven't tested it out yet). How to change the names on the units with TBLedit. Extracting files using WinMPQ. Using MPQdraft, and i might know how to change sprites, but i haven't tried it yet.

PS: Thanks, i thought it was spelled kamakazi

The tech editor is reall easy, it lets you change # of upgrades, time, minerals, amd gas. You should use Arsenal Zero or ArrEdit to modify the sprite.dat because Arsenal III corrupts the file when you save.

nah it depends kamikaze is the singular and kamikazi is the plural.... i mean i should know

Umm that mod would be just kinda cool but the sparten needs to have two guns TWO.

I love Halo(see my signature?) and I think your mod will be good but there were a few problems that I found. A grunt should definately not be an observer. That doesn't make any sense at all because grunts are land units and also grunts are almost always used in ground attacks so if it was an observer it would be in the air and would not be able to attack which its the opposite of a grunt. I think a grunt could be a zealot with less attack and less shield.

First of all you should switch the marine and Spartan 2 around due to the spartans MJOLNIR armor. And second of all i have no clue how to mess with sprites.

ZDS, were you talking to me or bob? if your talking to me, than I'll more than happily leave. well, maybe not MORE than happily, but, I really have never played the game, and, well...
