Okay, so if the games between GA and RedRag aren't done by saturday, Redrag wins by default. If you guys can't play for any reason, better inform about it.

But people who're still in / want in for koth voting, post here about it. Will be getting a new poll up once this is clear.

I haven't seen DC, GroG is out, what else? I'm still in.

That may sound a little biased as Wisp has given no reason. I PMed GA and we agreed to play tonight at 10.15pm GMT, I turned up and waited for GA to finish his game, then whispered him, at which point he promptly started another game, ignoring all my whispers and starting numerous more games. I had told him what account I would be on, and I was on the account I had told him, FoH)RedRag, and also PMed him on WB incase he dropped by.

Just to clear it up. Hope we can keep this thing running.

That about sums it up. Since the problem seems to be getting GA to play, and redrag is the current king of the hill, I don't see anyone else getting wins by default here.

Going to sleep now, try getting your games played, please.

King Of The Hill, comp is dieing i think its a dead trend, its good having comps like this but it gets a bit boring with the same person winning everyweek, although it is part of the comp.

Not necessarily. I've been practicing up since my last game, I'm still in, and I intend to make a better showing next time around. Redrag, get those games in or take the win. Either way, I want to play again. Get the pole up and let's get this done.

Alright, I sent you like 5 whispers at various points telling you not to start a game again but if you can't be bothered to play then don't make me waste an hour of my evening waiting and tell me in advance, ok.
I had /o igw on and didn't get any whispers from RR. I got whispers from Cole's account and actually had a conversation with him during that time, asking him where RR was. Apparently I asked him where RR was right after RR left (30 min after time), and he said RR had been msging me. So, long story short, I don't know if RR had F-added me or not or what the deal was, but I never got msgs and you spent <30 minutes, NOT ONE HOUR online. I was there at the appointed time, and you weren't on, so I went laddering--don't bitch at me.

I was there non-stop on FoH)RedRag, the agreed account, from about 7pm GMT (2pm your time) until 11.30pm (actually, I signed on at 10.22GMT if you want to be picky, 7 minutes after I was supposed to turn up), when I left, to go and get some sleep. I had /f added you, and why you have /o igw on unless it's to block some idiot who's flaming you is completely beyond me. Cole never told me of any such conversation and unless you want to be extremely pedantic, I was there at the appropriate time. I do not see how this can possibly be my fault, I did all that was in my power to get ahold of you.

One more thing, next time you put /o igw on, /f add me first so I can get though.

Thats because the conversation took place after you logged off, redrag~. Last night that is.
He asked me where you were and i told him you had signed off which you did O.o. Cause he had ignore on and he didnt know it so yea its all kind of confusing.

As for KOTH being boring, redrag has had a few narrow escapes..LIke vs me where i analed him the first two games but he made a 3 game comeback in where he comprehensively gayed me with fl tower rush and then we had a close game at the end.

Owned?

And the reason that I keep /o igw on is for that exact reason. I don't know about you, but when people I'm playing against say "gg" and "lol u lose noob" in the middle of a gruntapult push and end up losing, there's some flames to be had. The number of "u got lucky nub r/m" I get in a day is fucking mindblowing. It's called Badmanneroth for a reason--every other game I play features some idiot jackass trying to assert his 13-year-old dominance by being a dick before the game is over.

Anyway, you can continue making shit up and flipping me attitude about it, but Cole was there. You logged off @ 1740, far before your claim of 2330.

2330 HIS time. Come on.

And try taking /o igw off at least when you're supposed to have a meeting :)

I think we're getting confused over timezones here. CST is GMT-5, right? If so, and I log off at 2330 or similar GMT just about every night, then that makes it 1830 your time.

GenocideAlive

There is no "we're getting confused", as I showed up the time you informed me that I needed to show up: 1715ish, or 515PM, CST. It never occured to me that you apparently have no idea how to perform the 5th grade function of calculating time zone differences, and set up our meeting based upon this corrupt foundation.

Let's refer to a website that is (nearly) idiot-proof:
http://www.timeanddate.com/worldclock/

London - 1748, or 5:48PM
Houston - 1148, or 11:48AM

Thus using our powerful skills of deduction, Houston is behind London by 6 hours.

So if it were 11 o'clock AM here, it would be 5 o'clock PM there.
If it were 5 o'clock PM here, it would be 11 o'clock PM there.

And so, when you logged off at 2340 on Wednesday, it was only 1740 here. If we would have started playing at the prescribed time of 1715 here, we would have had approximately 1 game before it would have been time for you to leave. So this will either have to be played on the weekend, or in pieces.

For future reference, if you are planning an event with Redrag, make sure that you don't take his word on the time of the appointment. He will fuck it up and then get pissy with you.

And then 'you' will continually liken me to a small child and repeatedly attempt to shove the blame on me, as well as being rather pedantic and stiff-upper-lippy. Oh wait, I'm assuming 'you' will have the immaculate manners of GA here.

May I suggest the thread be closed before it degenerates into any more of a cesspit than it already is?

I don't get it. You keep fucking yanking my chain with your attitude here and on b.net, but then you want the thread closed because it's a "cesspit". For purposes of general information, I'm not trying to "shove the blame on you", so much as "spare myself your constant bitching". You fucking find me on b.net when I'm playing a game and start crabbing at me that you don't have time to play a game but you've been in a tourney all day; as though I haven't been at work all day and just gotten home.

I advised you and the rest of the board to continue on with KotH and mark me as "disqualified" or whatever. We can play our games at a later date or not at all, if you're so heartbroken. But the fact of the matter is that shit didn't go down as it was supposed to, either in my having /o igw on or you fucking up the time and logging off. Now either suck it up and arrange for a new time, or move on and drop it.

RedRagToAnOrc

Personally, I think it's had its day. Enthusiasm has kind of disappeared. But I don't mind, this could simply be because GroG has mysteriously disappeared (holiday?) so you can keep it running if you want.

RedRag and I played our first game, and I'm not afraid to say that anybody looking for a GG would probably be disappointed. I played like a total noob and couldn't micro worth a damn. Luck is just about the only thing I had going.

Well, luck in that I completely misjudged and continued to focus down your main while you pwned my burrows and I had four towers firing on me. Yeah, basically it was my fault.

The two of you both said you both played badly. And you both imply that the other won. Who did, by the way? And could you post a replay? Although I don't really have time to watch replays, now.

Well i OBsed the game and though i think ga and redrag are ok players i must admit that game was total shit ;p. GA won but about 70% of the reason why he won was because redrag suicided all his units at a failed attempt to kill GAs hall. Then GA just TPs and kills off redrads remaining shit with coil/nova. Yea but i mean, this game involved losing units to gnolls, losing half your army to towers, running past easy surrounds, and i could go on :P. To be honest i think both players just had a bad game but GA said he had lag too so that could hurt him.

Ok, GA played games 2, 3 and 4 tonight. GA has Game 3 so I'll post the others.

Game 1 - RR (Orc) vs GA (R/UD)
Twisted Meadows

I go for a standard FS/TC Grunt/Raider/Wyvern build against GA's DK/Lich Ghoul/Abom/Destroyer build. A few skirmishes take place but in the end it all comes down to the final battle where I impale myself on GA's towers while he destroys my base. 1-0 to GA.

Game 2 - RR(R/Orc) vs GA (R/UD)
Turtle Rock

I go once again for a FS/TC Grunt/Raider/Wyvern build, while GA goes for DL/Ghouls teching to Stats/Shees and later on Fiends. GA absolutely demolishes my early game army, killing 2 Grunts and forcing a TP after he gets a creepjack on me just outside his base. However, I battle my way back into the game and after a number of failed attempts I finally manage to take home the win. 1-1.

Game 3 - RR(R/NE) vs GA (R/Orc)
Twisted Meadows

GA goes for a FS/TC/Raider/Grunt/Wyvern build while I go DH/Naga and Archer/Talon. GA gets up an expansion, as do I (eventually) and the fortified upgrades on Burrows and Towers make my life really rather annoying until I get Glaives. He then gets another expansion at an island. However, by the time I use the glaives, GA has an incredibly large army and his high level AoE tears me up. 2-1 to GA. (GA has rep.)

Game 4 - RR(UD) vs GA (R/Hu)
Turtle Rock

I go for a DK/Lich Fiendshee with Stats/Dests build while GA opts for MK/Pally with Knight/Gryphon/Gyros. GA manages to get a heavily fortified expansion up which he eventually turns into his main base of sorts, and continues to pump Knight/Gyro while I attempt to expand. After a number of awesome battles, the final skirmish is between GA's MK/Pally and my Destroyers while he attempts to take down the Acolytes mining at my expansion. However, I get the luckiest kill on his MK and take home the win. 2-2.

Oh-ooooooooooh!

Ok, so I was watching Boston Legal, but I thought it was fitting.

Exciting stuff. It's cool that you guys are mixing it up in the race matchup, too. None of that boring repetitive crap prevalant in most Bo5s.

Game four was interesting to watch... I was wondering what the heck Genocide was up to, then it became clear he was trying to win economically. Quite amusing.

Killing off all the Acolytes while the Halls of the Dead was upgrading was a real nice move. :)

Well, it might have worked if I would have put together my game worth a shit. At the end there my fucktastic micro totally wins the day as I can't focus anything worth a shit and I'm not getting any kills either.

That was the first time that I played against an AMS user against MK/Pal, so I was kind of confused by the whole setup--then I got interrupted by the doorbell and all sorts of bullshit. I was pretty frazzled by the counterstrat and it really showed. At the end there I wasn't thinking clearly enough to pay attention to the mines.

I kind of enjoyed playing RR, as he's one of the more solid strategic players I've played against--a lot of times people do cookie-cutter stuff automatically and barring errors it's pretty easy to predict the games. All things considered it was a good experience.
