If things are all working properly, it should automatically resize all images over a certain width, and alert you to that.

You should be able to in your User CP dictate how exactly you wish it to handle enlarging, either in the same window, in a new window, etc.

Test:

The warning text above the image is currently a bit buggy, but I'll fix that shortly.
For now just know that you have to click that to enlarge/shrink the image.

so in practise this is the same thing as we had before, just with more verbosity.

yeah and the option for users to select how the images are enlarged.

Alas the system still craps out a lil' bit after opening resized images and closing'em back again. :concern:

The bar is great for people who don't know, but is it possible to make the image itself clickable again too, in addition to the bar?

Yes, I second that. I've clicked the image itself about ten times recently before remembering the bar and It's gotten rather annoying.

That happened to me too... although never came to mind to ask for it's reinstatement before you two spoke up.

This is a pretty sneaky improvement. I didn't really notice it at first, but I've actually benefitted from it multiple times without even knowing it. Good stuff, AJ.

best features are noticed when they go missing. examples: air.

Confucious say: Sex is like air; it only matters when you're not getting any.

theres variations to each truth. either to be witty or something is lost in translation.

There we go, new solution.
Should remove the problems we were having.

Is it purposeful for the image to open in a new window? If so, is there a way to get back to the old way where it would just go to full size in the postbit when clicked?

I coincide with Whiteknight and his inquiries on this matter, because it's rather tedious opening and closing a new window every time I wish to increase a forum based image's presented resolution.

Huzzah, I overused eccentric and exaggerated words. ftw! :]

You only do so when the image is oversized. It allows you to view the entire image without having to screw with the controls inside of your browser, it seems to be working correctly for all past and future uses of the IMG code and it appears to be working in all active browsers. These by far outweigh the option to have it increase within the page, which is a sloppier fix.

I incredibly dislike new windows, and I also enjoy reading the posts while viewing the full picture size. Is there a way to let the user choose?

I also sign this petition to add an option to the User Cp so that you can either open the image in a new window, or enlarge it in the current one. Because tab-clicking doesn't work which rather makes the whole major selling point of Firefox and forums rather moot wouldn't you say? :/

I can't set up an option for this in the User CP currently.

Deal with it, sorry.
