I have noticed that in the sc campaign editor and xtra editor (most likely in others too) there is the fog of war layer. What good is it? if it works, its news to me, what is it supposed to do and why doesnt it do anything?
Oops, sorry I meant to put this in starcraft maps and mods. Please move it.

id move it if i could.
it has to to with vision. if you click, it toggles that vision point. i believe you utilize it with triggers, but i cant be to sure since i rarely use the function (and rarely make maps anymore). o
nce its moved you should get a better answer ;)

If you clear out some the of space on the layer, the player that you cleared it for will begin with that area explored, but without active vision in the area. Hope that helped.

oooh yeah. its like setting where you've 'been' and 'seen' in gameplay. normally, you cant see shit (captian) because, well, you havent looked anywhere. with the fog of war layer you can set where youve seen and where you havent
