I thought this was deserving of its own thread given the evident calibre of the replay. This is me playing the Korean pro-Gamer NiP-SouthSea in the WCGZone Monthly League for August (he's currently leading it on 40 wins and 2 losses). I do my usual Gruntapult Tier 2 Tower Push, he goes DH/FL Archer/Dryad, and needless to say, he wins. Still, it's fun if you want to see an average player take on a professional.

Oh, and his micro is godly, by the way. Replay attached.

On a short aside, I just played KirstenDunst in my next game. This guy (or girl, IDK) won a solo tournament on the 5th of August and has beaten amateur-professionals, or at least respected league players. He said something about SoaD in his profile and the name sounds familiar, but IDK.

Anyway, I won! Huzzah for me. Awesome replay, I do exactly the same thing as I did against SouthSea but this time it works. Some nice micro during the last couple of battles.

EDIT: Screw WCGZ, I'm doing an audio on these two games.

On a short aside, I just played KirstenDunst in my next game. This guy (or girl, IDK) won a solo tournament on the 5th of August and has beaten amateur-professionals, or at least respected league players. He said something about SoaD in his profile and the name sounds familiar, but IDK.

I played kirsten the other day in a tourny. Hes not all that great :(. Since when did he win a solo tourny O.o. His micro was only average when i played him.

Oh and i played this one 70% NE no name guy and i got raped by solo tink mass archer/dott. Apparently hes found a way to extend moon wells outside his base so only archers/dotts can go in and just easily defend vs a harrass/attack. Should have screenshotted it. Its crazy. Its all specifically designed for beating T2 cata push which is interesting. Factory is so underrated :/

lol, he didnt really seem that good when i played him O.o. The nip guy is pretty good though.

As for seige range being bigger, yes but your not factoring in attack move. He made where he can attack and rape catas and quickly move back behind wells to advoid taking to much dmg from grunts. Also pocket factory really helps with this. Eh this is hard to explain though, like i said i should have screenshotted it.

I think I get what you're saying. Factory would be a bitch to navigate past for grunts, you'd have to take it down and by that time the elf is back and cosy behind the wells. As soon as the catas aim for the factory, then they're going to get screwed by the elf.

Basically but there are a few other things. The whole idea is just being able to sit behind your base and wait till you have a superior army than the orc without even having to do any PVP. Its a incredibly gay strat.

Although the NE would have to cover a large area with the Moon Wells, otherwise the Orc runs around to another entrance on maps other than Moonglade/Wetlands etc.
