Rundown of the TV series Plot (Those who have seen Zoids:New Centry Zero, Can ignore this for the most part


Zoids: New Century Zero takes place several centuries after Guardian Force, where Zoid battles have become a sort of tournament-based league of sorts. The main character is Bit Cloud, a junk dealer, who runs into the Blitz Team. As Bit interferes in a match with the Blitz Team he comes across the Liger Zero, a Zoid possessed by the Blitz team which no one can pilot. Bit and Liger form a partnership and end up joining the Blitz Team in their various league matches. He is aided by his team mates, Leena Toros, Brad Hunter, and Jamie Hermeros, as well as their leader, Dr. Steve Toros.

The Liger Zero is revealed to be a unique Zoid, an Ultimate X - it contains an "Integrated Organoid System", or "Black box"; it is a self supporting Artificial Intelligence program, which allows the Liger Zero to learn and adapt on its own. Only special "Chosen Ones" can pilot an Ultimate X.

Along the way, Bit's unique Zoid gets the attention of the Backdraft group, an organisation who is trying to take over the Zoid battles. The Backdraft attempts to acquire the Liger Zero by any means possible. They eventually unearth the Berserk Führer, a powerful Zoid that also contains an Integrated Organoid System.

During the Royal Cup, an event in which the top teams in the world fight one another for the honour of becoming an "S-Class" team, the Backdraft Group attempts an uprising against the Zoid Battle Commission. However due to the strength of the Zoid Battle Commission , the organization was seemingly wiped off the map.

This RP takes place Ten years later, at the beginning of the years Zoid Battle Matches. The Berserk Fury and Liger Zero have become legends, and faded into the background, other zoids like the Shadow Fox and Elephander have seen limited producion runs, and are avalible, though rare. The stage is set for the next generation of warriors to take the spotlight and forge their own legends.

Bio: Kallis was once one of the greatest zoid pilots on Zi, posessing an uncanny knowledge of how to bring out the most potential in any zoid he piloted and to attack the weakness of his opponent. However, now almost reaching 40, his popularity and skills are going down hill. Although still possessing the experience and enough skill to face most of his oppenents, Kallis knows that his reflexes are begining to slow, his instincts begining to fail. Bio: Fafnir started out as a lone pilot, entering in Tourney's here and there and - usually - tearing up the opposition with his old Dibison. He took on a few challenges from upstart warriors but he never really (not even in defeat) found a worthy opponent. Until finally he entered into a One-on-one Tourney he fought a Shadow Fox (which he originally figured to be an easy fight) which came close to beating him before he caught it with his Horns finally and ended the fight. After the battle he confronted the pilot again and they decided to form a team and find others with their skills.

For a few months they entered two on two or the ocational one-on-one tournaments, and sure enough they met their matches. A team of a Barigator and a Lightning Saix gave them quite a fight before they finally pulled through, the losing team was happy to join up when Fafnir and Chris approached them and they've been a team ever since. Fafnir and Chris are usually in every battle as their contrasing skills are valuble on the battlefield, sometimes however they're left out in favour of either Samantha or Joshua when they need either a speed or terrain advantage.

Bio:He loved flying all his life. One day while a soid team was visting his home town he jacked a Raynos from a local junk yard and flew it over there hover Cargo. Though he crashed the captain of the team saw potenitial and hired him and bought the zoid.

It's a fast Zoid with extra armor only along the back and feet, not the sides or legs, so it does have it's weak points. And perhaps I should add that the howitzer is useless at ranges under a mile.

nah not really. it pretty much means that high aerial attacks and direct shots from the front rn't gonna do much. get a clear shot at him from the sides and his toast. Actually, the zoid seems a bit weak in my opinion, but i guess that its a fairly good longe ranged attacker. The idea of a howitzer is a bit weird though, y not just call it a long ranged beam cannon or something?

Anyways, the first rounds will be against generic NPC teams that you guys can make up and run due to me being lazy, just post their Team name and Members/Zoids then start the battle. The Battlemode will be 0982 unless you'rwe doing something odd.

I sit nervously in the cock pit of my Raynos waiting for the singnal. This was only my secound battle and my first official one. "Okay boys and girls listen up. Were fighting the purple cobras today. Yes odd name and they seem to be pioliting Vipers, No suprise there. Now I don't have to tell you to be careful. But give it you all out there. Plus I won't be able to pay you if we lose," I hear Jon Rushmore, the team owner. I feel the platform ship below my zoid as it rises to the luanch position of the hover cargo. "First person out buys the beers," I challange over the radio. "Ha didn't your mom tell you not to waste money?" I hear Taran reply. "We'll see," I say with a grin as the luanchers charge....

Fafnir walked out of his bunk wearing his pilot's jumpsuit and headed for the Zoid hangar. He ducked under some hanging cables in the hallway, making a mental note to fix that after this fight, they were up against a team that specialized in Comand Wolf Variants, in this mountainous terrain they'd probably be opting for the Comand Wolf Town, it's heavier armour and back-mounted quad-cannons made it slower, but it's legs had specialized motivators which made rough terrain a walk in the park. They went by "Wolf Pride" or some flashy name like that, they boasted a 100% victory rate, but with a little research Fafnir found that they'd only been in a handful of matches.

He entered the actual hangar seeing that Chris was already outside and Samantha was climbing into her Saix, she gave Joshua the thumbs up and he sent her up the lift into the launcher. Spotting Fafnir he pointed to his watch to say "Get a move on!". Getting the message Fafnir nodded and ran to his Dibison, his pride and joy. She may be a slow beast, but she could lay the hurt on most any Zoid out there, plus with the Smoke Screen he could add a touch of stealth to those who aren't prepared. As he buckled into the cock-pit he lovingly patted the side and started the massive Zoid up.

He gave Joshua the signal, went a short ride up the lift and as the launcher threw him onto the battlefield he muttered to himself.

"Here come the thunder"

'Cocky kid...' Taran murmered to himself, smiling. He finished his diagnostics check. 'All systems green boss. Ready when you are.'

Taran pushed forward on his control stick, and his Sabertiger set off, pacing steadily out of the cargo hold and into the desert sunlight. A brief shadow, and Tevin's Raynos arced overhead. The veteran pilot glanced to his right, and saw the gunblaster settle down for the wait. Taran keyed in his com-unit.

'Ok kids, here's the plan. Stealth Viper's are pretty much pushover's. Their main weaknesses are that they suck at close range combat, fairly competent at midrange, and not as much at long range. They're not as maneuverable as our zoids, so the best way to deal with this is to rush 'em and take them out quick like. However, i've heard that the Purple Cobra's arn't such a poor team, so expect some modifications to their zoids and adapt. Xander, soon as the match starts, find yourself some high ground and lay a covering barrage for us. Tevin, you hit them from up high and behind and i hit them low and from the sides. Before he could recieve any replies, a massive Whump slammed into the ground, and the judge capsule rose from it. With mechanical efficiency, it opened, and the now familiar figure of the judge stood, white paint glinting in the sun light.

"Alright looks likes there retraeting to the platue at the far west of the field," I call out. "Roger, Xander you in position?" Taran ask. "Ya I'm ready, What are the cordinates?" he replys. "56 by notrth and 25 by south," I read off. Then the missle luanch warning starts ringing...

"One down. I'm picking up another trying to bug out. The other one went of screen a few minutes ago," I say. Bringing my Raynos into a orbiting flight path. Then I see the track of turned sand leading into a small crevice in the platue. I came around and lined up perfectly with the opening. Sure enough the forward rader picked up a target. "I got him he's hideing." I mark the spot then hit the after burners and pionted the nose into a steep climb. Better to let him think he hasn't been found. I reach 20,000 feet. I take a couple of breaths. "Well here goes nothing," I mutter. I yank the joy stick sending the Raynos in a vertical nose dive. I struggle against the G's but manage to hit the missle arm button. The screen registered a lock. The alitimeter plunged past 15,000 , 10,000 , 5,000. I push the button. There is a thump as the missle luanchs. I watch as it freefalls for a minute then ignited. I pull up hard on the joystick. The missle impacted with the force of a frieght train and detnotated. "Scratch 2," I announce.

Battle 1

Sure enough, when Fafnir emerged onto the battlefield he saw Samantha's Lightning Saix to his left,Chris in his Shadow Fox to his right and three Command Wolf Towns. Looking around the battlefield while waiting for the Judge Capsule Fafnir spotted a few good ridges that he could hide behind and begin artillery strikes on the opposing team and when it came to artillery, nothing really compared to a Dibison. The Judge Capsule finally landed with a thud and began broadcasting to everyone in the area.

"Battlemode 0982 accepted, area scanned, Battlefield setup. Ready, Fight!"

Right off the bat both Fafnir and Chris activated their smoke screens offering some cover to move under, Samantha ran her Saix full speed towards the three Command Wolves who started fireing their twin cannons in a futile attempt to slow her. With this distraction Chris effectivly dissapeared and Fafnir moved behind a tall ridge and aimed his mortar cannons for the perfect arc.

"Thanks for the distraction Samantha, now please move back a bit so that I can get a clean shot."

"No problem, give 'em hell Fafnir!"

Fafnir enjoyed fireing his Mortars in a rolling fassion, with less then half-a-second between each cannon's fireing it sounded a lot like thunder, or an aproaching army. Seventeen mortar blasts would then shatter the earth on impact leaving a lot of mayhem for even the more experienced Pilots, if he caught all three Command Wolves in the blast then this fight would be over soon.

"Hey!" He said over the team's radio channel. "Did I get them all?"

A red blip on his sensors winked out. Two down Taran thought to himself, one to go. A gleam out the corner of his eye, and immediately he kicked the Sabertiger into gear, ducking a shot from the remaining viper, swivelled and opening up with his shock cannon, hammering the Viper’s position behind a rock outcropping. Blast after blast smashed against the rock formation, raising a cloud of dust as the veteran pilot poured in a half a dozen shots. Dust obscured his vision and Taran stopped firing, wondering if he had destroyed his opponent.

Only pure instinct that had been honed by experience saved his skin. The viper pilot was good enough to have avoided Taran’s barrage, and counter attacked, red-hot beams slicing through the air as it slithered out from its position. Taran automatically jerked on his control stick as soon as the viper fired, jinxing to the left. The sabertiger shuddered as several well-aimed shots scored deep creases across the fuselage. Nothing serious, but enough to affect his performance. The grizzled veteran cursed, yet his grin grew wider. He keyed in his comlink.

‘Xander, gimme some covering fire, 5 km south east of my current position.’

‘Covering fire on its way.’

Taran gunned the acceleration, his zoid leaping forward and charging towards the remaining viper. The viper raised its head and began spraying a barrage of bullets in his direction, weaving backwards and forwards, its narrow body making it a difficult target. It never even expected the incoming rounds that suddenly exploded around it, sending clods of earth flying everywhere, a few shots even managing to hit the zoid. By the time the pilot recovered it was too late. A final lunge from Taran and the strike claws struck home, ripping out a large chunk from the Stealth Viper’s neck. The battered zoid shuddered once, then collapsed.

‘Battle over. Battle over. The winner is…THE GRIFFON TEAM!’

Taran smiled widely and wiped sweat from his brow. Another notch to his win list, another zero added to his bank account, and another step closer to winning the Royal Cup. Life was beginning to look fairly good.

I grin as I hear the judge. "Another one bites the dust. But whose gonna buy the beers?" I ask over the radio. "Guess were not haveing a party to night," mutters taran. "Screw that I say lets get theses zoids in then head over to New Mothra, land of the expensive home of the sucker." New Mothra was the Las Vegas of the Area. "I'll take that," yells Xander. "Sweet," I say with glee. "Ya you kids can go blow your pay checks," mutters Taran. "Ah come on old buddy lighted up," I say as I bring my Raynos into a landing glide.
