Well, with Geckat seemingly dead in the water (I'm seanding a patrol to find him. Hopefully it will not be a dead body :P) there's a major staff deficiency at sc.org. For example, I've been wating for a few days for a submission and over a week for some requested deletions to take place.

I'm merely telling you because people are getting worried now :)

Geckat is gone for a week. He'll be back. Alive.

And yeah, I'm sorry, but things are still getting worked on in reference to SC.org. A lot of stuff just isn't working as planned.

Okay, that's cool.
I wasn't bugging for BST btw, that's Grim's job :D. Just wondering why nothing was being approved, etc. If there are site problems, that's fair enough.

Geckat's not dead? YAY! :P

Staff do take breaks.
Other jobs do take priority.

No one is AWOL.

Okay, I get that, I was just wondering.

(and I though AWOL would sound amusing, that's all)

Well, I created a news post only just yesterday - I can't be too far away. :/

Sorry, I meant to step in but my next 2.5 years rest on the research proposal I've got due in three weeks. If Geckat went on leave any other week things would be different!

Yeah! Take that Ktan!

Does No-one actually get the AWOL bit was a joke? Jesus guys, chill...

Now, I might add that I feel a bit guilty after BST's post.

I do know you have jobs. I was merely higlighting the concern that some people had and the fact we had no real warning. That's all.

Is it just me or are maps STILL not being allowed to be submitted on sc.org? How's the review board coming?

BTW currently I think sc.org is down.

I -just- made a news post that stated they were still down.

Try and check the main sc.org page every once and awhile, every now and again we put sc.org news on there. :P

Or three news posts in the space of a week :D

I think he meant that the servers down, which made it somewhat difficult for him to check the main page.

But I saw the post. R boards are going to take ages, it just has to be accepted. Should be worth it in the end anyway.

Sigh.

Yes they are.

For the maps, theres a ridiculous load of maps. Not to mention almost all of us have our inactive sprees, like im just finishing right now. Even AJ does which slows stuff down more because he posts the maps for us.

Map submissions, so far, are to be denied until we're done - which could be an extremely long time.

We're still processing the other submission types while the Review Boards sort out the Maps Database, though.

The current poll has gone mammaries vertical as well... someone might want to shut it down, if that's possible. Or just leave it running until it's 600 posts long, of which 450 approx are spam / flame. :P

Yeah, I was gone for a little while. Stress leave. I'm back now, though, and with Ktan taking over the submissions (STOP YELLING! lol), I'll have more time to get back to being an active MEMBER of SC.Org, rather than just a trippy Mr. Saturn working on Ixius.
