The clan ranking isn't such a great idea imho. Although am interested if that could spawn a few friendly games... and we also could have the same clan tags that are also used on the SC side. ;)
If they have it running, kinda smoothly, without ranks other than the main organizer why should we need classes? The wheel is already invented over there, why can't we simplify a few things in the process and start rolling as they did.
Summing up: Seeing their best concepts and we'll 'sip' those in. That's my aim here. ;)
There already is pretty much a WB clan its clan JHAD on azeroth i think, im in that clan its a good clan full of good players, we ussually get together to play AT and solo.

I might think about it. Sounds like it could work. But WB dosnt have as many WC as SC members though. :concern:
@Cole1, dont post here, if your not interested. Whats the point, other than making others annoyed at you?
any1 can join....why is cole1 so special? he dosen't want to join....leave him alone...
so we have:
basan
sololop
lancer
me
Most members are already established in their own clans which are not WB related, including myself.
but still, there are members clan-less...

What gateway is this?
I mean I can use any gateway, but USEast is mine.
Or do gateways even matter with clans?
I'd like a seat of authority if possible. :P
If yous realy want a clan going yous may need help from a MOD to promote this "clan" on the forum or whatever, but i dont think flaming fellow members and so forth is going to help start a clan.

Cole1 likes to flame people, i suppose it makes him feel better about himself... Somehow.
Ontopic: I would like to join as soon as my net is up again. I'm on northrend most of the times.

I'd say that we use the same channel that is already there for SC-BW on US East. And although am from Europe, I've always met there (at Op Org.Network) with the other fellas to play. Either it ended up being WC3-TFT or SC-BW.
Generally gateways do have a purpose. And it's to diminuish lag, provided most of their clan users' are from the same area.
And I'd say that since Ice brought it up, to let him decide where he wants to go from here. Keeping in mind that the games are mostly for fun (no grudge matches if possible, please :P). Perhaps starting with a game night to see how it initially goes. May I warn all from now forth that am extremly rusty. And that never had played much at B.Net, either. ;)
oke il pm all the guys that signed up!

I just love interfering all the time to come with comic input
I tell the truth. You people are often delusional and sorry but i dont like living in fantasy
Fun to have choosen a game so filled with it? :o
also, there is no such thing as a proffessional clan, especially not in this game ;) . RTS clans are mostly there to have fun, some compete some just use it as a place to get a good game going. Also remember that alot of very good gamers spend their time playing with not so good gamers to give them advice and get a good laugh with them when they fuck up badly, so good gamers may be attracted. I'll save you the time of asking, so ill just answer it fast, why else would there be something like the map forum on WB? i useally only assist other players, if i search for answers i generally go to a more specified forum such as Sids - Workshop thats just about that subject. If stuff like this failes, do you ever open your eyes and think, perhabs all this negative feedback ain't helping it in any way? Or maybe people left because of you in their own clans/guilds whatever? that being the reason why you haven't experienced otherwise :o ? Other than that, remember clans aren't forever so eventually they fall apart, the main thing is to have fun while you can!
Ice, and all of you other guys, have fun with the Clan!
As a good mindslayer quote, just because its such a damn nice sentence. Thus spoke Zipsco.
Ah. By fantasy you mean a pseudo-"parallel life." Interesting. I don't think anyone here really cares about warcraft that much. Hence a clan could be useful for people who just want to have fun at their own skill level, or even just to play with friends.
After hearing about this clan, iv decided id like to join, if its plausible.

Was a little late and slow , atleast if we get a clan going then we may get some more posts here, posts about stuff not stupid things.

Depends on what the clan is about Cole... A clan thats about having fun doesn't really require "good" gamers. Though some may say they want to play against players that are better than them self or the other way around, thats merely preference, and then its about choosing the right clan for you!

lol this clan will not really get far, there is only like 7 people asking for it, for a proper one on bnet its like 11 or 12, you guys really need to get ur numbers up and i dont want to be in it anymore seeing as though im abit busy with other things atm
we neeed a good channel op, like grim terror :) but i gues he can't take care both sc and war

First we should get a channel on one realm or another, because it's easier to talk via instant messaging than fourms.
And by the way, you dont need .wb at the end of your name as battle.net will do it for you. On Warcraft, anyway.
yeah..oke...so northrend or Azeroth?..stili got only 2 pms...

Azeroth is the equivalent to the US East server for WC3-TFT, isn't it? Since the Op Org.Network channel is there already and also provided that most of our 'population' base is from the States... ya figure it out. :P
Now let's get a stable time period for the games to occur, shall we (and please give reference to GMT meridians, ok)? ;) And, imho, by PM it'll only complicate things up, so let's do it here for all who are willing to join may see it.
*'Throwing' my opinion* I'd say Saturday's at 7 pm by 0 GMT (which translates to 1 or 2 pm over there, if ain't mistaken). :)

So if it's 7 PM GMT, it's going to be 4PM AT for me. (Contemplating..) Sure thats fine for me. :P

I didn't wanted to overlap it with the SC game nights (http://www.warboards.org/announcement.php?f=10&a=64) but instead somewhat close trying to 'drag' some of those fellas into a WC3-TFT game or two. Eventually. ;)
Edit add: And I do want to leave it clear that that is solely my opinion to kick off this event, and is in no way obligational. We can set clocks together... hopefully (although we're pretty much apart over the world). - End edit
Oh, and I was wrong about the timeline, if in here it's 9 pm over there in Miami it's 4 pm (0 GMT is London time, btw). Please see the time zone intel available in GD's informational postbit for any further doubts.

Hm, WB wont hotlink it cuz it's not "www" I think.
Your local timezone - GMT + 03:00

thats my gmt :)
So, Ice, you're at the CET + 2, right? I'm at the London meridian than we two are too close from one another and could try to play a few games Sat' night, since I'm only less 3 hours distance of yours. Are goin' to be on that night? I'll try to hook up around 9 pm here (which is 12 am over there), if I don't get out for a few drinks with friends. And it's this arragement fine with you? ;)
Btw, anyone else is invited to come. :)
yeah ok...i got some friends that have a chat channel il pm you with it..it's on northred...and we can play a few games togheter...:)

I'll join, someone send me details? Play undead and NE. on northrend and lordaron.
Since I don't play very well lately for obvious reasons (read, DotA can ruin any game play, especially when you don't have the time to play anything else), I'll play random to be fully trashed. ;) That, or to simply resort to RE (rookie elf). :P
oke! its tonight no?
Gateway: Northred

I cleaned this thread up, taking out a lot of the one-liners and stupid bickering. Keep it on topic and good luck with getting it together. I'd recommend two clans in both leagues (Azeroth and Northrend) so that if you guys wanted to play with each other you could bounce around and have a place to go. Be sure to recruit new players wherever you are so that you can keep them active.
And on a side note, if you don't have something constructive to add, close the thread and go somewhere else. This means you, Cole; I'm not going to clean up another 7-8 of your harassing posts for free.

Hi! Guys I saw that your trying to get a warcraft .WB clan together. I was wondering what warcraft you play? Warcraft 3 or the expanstions pack for it?:D

We play the expansion, Warcraft 3 the frozen throne

You should buy it. It's defently worth it if you're into RTS games and it should be somewhat cheap now aswell

I'll have to see what the price is here in Utah. :)
Aw, you had to delete my one-liners. Fiend.
Ok, since I am in fear of GA's wrath, I'll add something useful.
You may want to invite friends into the clan who aren't necessarily WB members. I tried a forum clan a while back and it sort of deteriorated due to the widespread timezones and having only ~15 players. If you have mates from the 'real world' (dum dum dum dum....) in the clan, it both bolsters numbers in the clan and ensures that people stick around. Not to mention the possibility of converting them to the WB side.
I had a couple of games with Ice the other day at his clan channel and it's was somewhat fine... 'till he dropped out on our melee game. =/
And as GA stated it'd be better if we get some time table and a channel straight. *Hint, hint* I still vote for using the Op Org.Network channel already present in Azeroth (US East) for SC-BW and perhaps creating one with the same name when on Northrend (Europe). ;)

It means that you have to be in that particular clan yourself, or someone has to be in the chat channel already.

We haven't actually made the clan yet so the channel (presumably Clan WB) would be off limits to everyone.
ok, iam downloading a channel robot right now...i was off for some time, but iam back now, all that want to join, plz pm me with the account name, and until i figure out how to use that robot, we will stick with WB channel or clan ngo's channel!
We haven't actually made the clan yet so the channel (presumably Clan WB) would be off limits to everyone.
I remember I decided to make a clan on my Yoda921 account for fun a while ago. I didn't intend producing a clan (I really couldn't be bothered, lol), but it would be interesting to see the process. However early on, I got the message "You have to invite 12 friends" or something. Or some startoff number requirement. So presumably that we have that number in terms of active members who actually want to join, we would all have to join at the same time.
And also, what about the difference in gateways? Everyone seems to play on Azeroth, except me. Or the term "everyone" generically. I didn't choose to play on "Lordaeron", it was just the default option. By the time I found out about gateways, I couldn't be bothered changing over because of all the wins I already had on my account.
Edit: And that barely anyone wants to join this clan anyway.
Edit2: Wow! 1000th post!
