This has been happening pretty frequently to me for a while now. Sometimes when I go to post in a thread the text box will lock up on me and the little blinking bar won't show up and I can't type anything. Also when this happens and I click inside of the text box the Italics, Bold and Underline buttons become depressed. I've tried refreshing the page, pressing back and even turning off my internet browser and going back. I hope someone can help, thanks.

What browser are you using? IE, Firefox, or something else? Although if it were something purely browser related, I'd imagine other users would be experiencing it as well.
I've had that happen before (Firefox). I found once I used the quick reply function, it returned to normal. I dunno if that helps...*shrugs*

That happens to me with FireFox, usually when I'm quoting something, but I just wait a second and then click the "change editing type" or whatever it is button in the corner. That fixes it.

This used to happen to me frequently, but it stopped. I thought it was my computer in general, not all FF users, or else I would have paid more attention to it.
You also should look under your hood (http://www.warboards.org/profile.php?do=editoptions) to see which setting is enabled at the bottom. It should be the "enhanced ... - full WYSIWYG" to make WB's 'work' properly with FF. ;)

Isn't that like default?

You could also just get a plain text box and enter any markup manually. It's definitely more compatible, and not very difficult. I set my account up that way on just about every forum I visit.

I have not encountered this problem and i use FF with the "advanced" text box.

That's how I many times insert stuff up like links, images, size and sometimes even text formatting. I also did the colours that way, but since those came up to the quick reply box have changed into the 'lazy man's way out. ;p

Nor did I. In fact, on some previous versions of FF I had to have the box in advanced for it to work just the way I wanted it. The basic simply didn't cut it, nor the enhanced either. But all of that is gone now. :D
