What is this forum about? Do we start games in the thread with little story lines in them? That's what I'm picking up, but none of it makes any sense at all...

Basically, we decide on a story, start it up, and talk. It's whatever you want to make of it, within lines. Read our stickied thread if you wish to learn more, as it can help you some.

Okay, have you ever like made up a long story with a friend? Or just made up stories where a bunch of people partake in making it? Well that is basically what this forum is about, it's RP'ing (Role Playing) where you and the other participants are basically writing a story, but it's usually better and more fun because different people have different styles and bring different elements to the table.

I hope that clarified it.

Btw, for your signature, to make it with a word that links to something (like those in my signature), the code is: [url=www.thewebsite.com]The word you wish to make the link[ /url ] (without the spaces in the last "[ /url ]" part of course).

Who's we? The community?

The "we" could be anyone, a single person that makes the thread (usually the case) who supplies the information and the starting story, and then the others that are interested just join and carry on the story. Though their are some times when the "we" is in it's literal sense and more people contribute to the starting ideas of an RPG (Role Playing Story), i.e. WK and Geno are creating an RPG together (see the "Upcoming RP's" (http://www.warboards.org/showthread.php?t=1956) thread for more info on that).

Ah, now I get it. It's kind of like collaborative stories on sffworld.org. Thanks.

Ice, go to the thread you created and read my post.

Link to my post in your RP thread. =/ (http://www.warboards.org/showthread.php?p=41284#post41284)

Or, for your conveniance, read it here:

Could you possibly put more detail when writing RP intros? And maybe a bit more thought? The intro was kinda bland and doesn't make me wanna participate that much. :(

So...

Please, when creating an RP, when you come up with an idea, expand on it. What is going on? What is the setting and/or time? Where do you start? What genre is the RP ((Medieval Fantasy, Present, Sci-Fi, etc.) This kinda ties in with the setting and time part...)? What weapons (if any) are aloud? And when writing intros, it's best to use details to catch the attention of the RPer. And it's a bonus if you make a character lay out. An Example of a character lay out would be:

Name:
Gender:
Race:
Age:
Weapons:
Armor/Clothing:
Bio:

Something like that, depends on what RP you're doing, but that's a generic one.
