I'm not quite sure what your asking. I'm not 100% positive on how item find works, but it doesn't affect magic find levels any and it uses the same treasure class as the first time. I would ASSUME this is like rekilling a monster, effectively halving the time it takes to find an item, but I'm not sure that's how it works. If you were willing to spend points in item find this might work, though I would do more research before starting a character. I've never tried a barb as an mf character though, and I really haven't heard about anyone else using one either.

An IK barb would be a nice MFer, going up to 150% MF easily.(I think you can get up to 3 sockets on helm(which is +80 at least and the boot bonus,+25, and the IK armor with a P topaz which is +24, a total of 130 at the lowest)

When you use find item on a monster, it applies the same amount of MF you have, it's like killing him twice, so really you're doing two meph runs in one =D

The only problem with this... It does give you whatever your MF is again, but the chance to find something is only equal to what the IF percent is. Also, you can't 'pop corpses' of unique or boss mosters. That means no double Pindle kill and such, as far as I know. Only normal monsters and such... What a waste, not to say they don't drop much, but to say they don't drop the good stuff as well as other things ;)

I've seen it go for as little as 1 full Sigon set, but that was someone with 3 IK armors... But normally, on USEast, They are around 1 SoJ... At least, that's what I've been told by traders... But yea, it's worth a lot. It's quite rare, and quite handy for Barbs... Trust me ;)

IK Barbs use the Full Immortal King Set (the Helm, Boots, Gloves, Belt, Armor, and Maul)

On ladder IK Armor is worth a Pul rune.

Off Ladder its prolly worthless, just ask around if anyone has an IK Armor...

It should be worth about a SoJ. Last I traded for one (About two months ago), it was a SoJ. Prices must be fluxuating again. Neo, can you give me an update of what the common ask-fors are going now?

If you are Ladder the IK Armor = Pul

If you are non-ladder Ik Armor = A soj at most I would think, since IK Armors are found all the time now due to bots... you might try the diabloii.net trading forums for USEast, they trade both Ladder and NonLadder people there... (So if you play non - ladder you can trade with other non - ladder peeps!)

IK Barbs = FULL IK SET. That is the only way to get the full bonuses from it (+3 all barb skills, +90 all resis, +ar, etc...)

I used to have an MF barb. Barbs can have more MF than sorcs. I switched to sorcs, though, because they do mephy runs twice as fast, which means twice the chance of getting a good item. But for for somebody starting up, an MF barb is a good way to go because they are cheaper to equip than an MF sorc.
