I know you're wondering 'Why a thread like this?' Well, here's my reason.

I think if you have a chance today, go and tell your mother how much you care about her, even if you aren't close to her. I know one of my friends who lives with his dad, and isn't close to his mother, but I guess yesterday he called her up, because she was leaving for another state today to see her own mother, but when he called her, she answered "Oh, what do you want?" because she doesn't really like him. And although my friend is a badass, talks back to people, and sometimes tries to beat people up, he calmed himself down, and in tears said, "Mom... I just wanted to call you, and tell you how much I love you. I may not be close to you, but I just wanted you to know that I'm glad I'm here. Thank you." And the line went silent. And then all he heard was crying, and the phone hung up. He put the phone down, and was glad. Even if she was mad, happy, who knows. He's just glad he let her know that.

I just ask that you may not be close, you may be. Tell you mother today how much you love her for letting you come into this world. I'm glad that I'm here, and I think you are as well. There are times where I wonder, but that's part of life, you know? Here's to our mothers today, and I hope they enjoy it.

Do I sense sarcasm in the air, or maybe it's just barbecue?

Me and my brother pitched in to get our mom a new book (Scarecrow by Matt Reily), and a card. Hugs, games, etc so far today. He had to go back to the city for a while, but we will probably sit around and play a bit more things, and maybe watch a movie or two. A quiet day with my family.

P.S. I got my mom some of her favorite White Zinfindel wine... I threw my dad 10 bucks, and he went and got it for her. I would have gotten her a case of it (Close to 50 bucks), but my dad already has a case stashed away. But then again, the wine I got her was a different kind... I believe it was Barringer that I got her, but she has a case of Montevina out there... Meh... I still prefer (On only special events, mind you) my dad's Chianti Classico Risserva ;)

Oh, and sorry if I misspelled wine names... Best I could do... x.x (And I work at the OG... I should know how to spell them x.x)

Aren't you a little young to be buying alcohol?

Uhhh.. NO!

Anyway, I took my mom out to eat at Applebees. It was pretty boring, but you gotta do things like that sometimes. Then we got back home and my Dad bitched about me needing to mow the yard, which I did not three day before and we have a big yard with a small mower. :-/ Never order a cheeseburger from Applebees... ever.

Never order anything from Applebees... ever.

Unless, of course, you want to wait about 12 hours for some pretty good food, but isn't the best. I just love their burgers and fries though. Mmm....

There are a lot of mothers out there now-a-days. Aren't women like 56% of the population now?

I didnt do anything. i got on the computer in the morning. she pushe me off. I got on in the afternoon, she pushed me off again. I snarled and vowed revenge. the revenge came in the form of extra icecream (i always put too much because i forget that my icecream portions are much larger than anyone else's) She made me eat the extra portions.

She also commented on how little i ate for dinner...as usual.

yea, normal daily routine.
