I just bought pirates of the carriabean:legend of jack sparrow and I tried it on the pc, But i cant install it. But thbe wierd thing is, its a PC dvd rom.
I put the disk but nothing happens i need help

If it is a game then you need to tell us that in the first place since it seems that most people that have responded did not know that. If you are having trouble with installing a game try asking in the Gamer's Rotunda. The Member's Lounge is not the only forum section on this site.

If its a game, it shouldn't be a Dvd...unless you bought like..an interactive DvD game...or its a game that's written on a Data Dvd disc..which in both cases is really weird.

DVD's have almost completely replaced CD's these days. I'm surprised there's still people without one. :)

A lot of games are written to DVD disc, as opposed to four CD's...

Nowadays sometimes they put games on DVD's instead of CD's, that way you only need one DVD instead of 4 CD's. It's not unusual at all.

Im confused. Is the game a Playstation II game or not? If it is a PS2 game then you need to use the PS2.

If it isn't specifically a PC game (says PC-DVD or PC-CD on the box) then its not going to work just because there is a pc version of it. They can't put the same game on 1 disc that would work on the ps2 and pc at the same time.

Hey Zerg_eater, why don't you send us a link to the site of the game or maybe tell us what the cover of the game says. It says right there on the cover whether it is a PC game or a console game.

Oh, I understand now. It's a DVD, made for computers with a DVD drive. He wants to put it in his PS2, because PS2s can play DVDs. However, it's not a PS2 game or even a normal DVD, it's an install disk. So it won't work no matter what he does with it, unless he gets a DVD drive for his PC.

Sorry dude, you can't install a game on your PS2.
