I've got a bad problem. ALL of my processes are taking up ten times as much mem as they should be. yes I've restarted my comp. It didnt' fix the problem.
the most recent things that i've install ed that might coincide with this problem is azureus and spy sweeper. azureus doesn't even run untill night time when i'm asleep. but i've talked to my bro-in-law (he is on the best buy geek squad) and hes got spysweeper and things run normally.
i'm at a loss.

Holy crap. Owned.

Do you even have that much memory, btw?

My guess is virus.

Can we see a screenshot of the Performance tab? I'm looking for the "Total Commit Charge" and "Peak Commit Charge" which will tell us just how much of your memory your actually using.

On a side note, Azureus using an unusually high amount of system resources, and spysweeper does just the same. I have both and when either of them is running my computer slows down slightly. If you're leaving spysweeper running in the background, I would recomend turning it off but setting it to run a daily scan when you aren't around.

But it's not natural that all those processes take up at least 20 MBs to simply be runned. :P
Most likely something fishy snook by your 'radar' (as in: firewall, anti-virus and/or anti-spyware tools). ;)

Although very good, Spy Sweeper isn't infallible. You just might start considering that.
Maybe it's just another time for a trip at the 'removal nasty stuff land' (http://www.warboards.org/showthread.php?t=4133). :)

FYI, commit charge is the page file. And it's at the bottom, no matter what tab you're on.
