im, this is kinda a nubish question, tho i havnt used the editor in over a year so i forgot...

How do u make water? i wanna surround some terrain with water, but cant find any water-looking terrian. I remember somehow getting water before but dont recall how to do so

It's a terrain tool. Shallow Water and Deep Water. They both produce cliffs with water next to them. Alternatively, you can create a new map and set the water level. Using elevation you can make water and land blend effectively.

um for some reason teh water tool isnt working... i dont think it likes me.

when i make water, all that happens is the cliff thing appears with blackness in the middle, not water....

any idea why?

and also is the only way to change water lvl by making a new map?

Is water enabled to view? (Press W or check the 'View' menu and select 'Water')

Creating a new map with water just makes the entire map covered with the stuff. The water level can be altered both creating a new map and in a map with the cliff water level tools and elevation.
