When I try to get my avatar to work, wether ul or URL, it says that it's the wrong BMP file extension... :o which means... that its bmp, no it's either jpg or gif, i made both because of this problem...

Did you actually convert / save as JPG / GIF, or did you simply rename the extension?

Posting the image won't be necessary. The problem is that your image is really a bmp, with a jpg file extension. I know you already said that this wasn't the case, but believe me, that's why you're getting the error you are getting. You need to open your image in mspaint (go to start-run, type in "mspaint", click OK) and then go to File menu and click SAVE AS...

I would suggest changing the name of the file so you can tell it apart from the others. Make sure before you save it that you click the drop down box that says "save as type" and select the jpg option. Then you should be ok, upload the new file and it should work.
