View Full Version : Militia Game Bug
If I lose my main in a battle (just the Town Hall/Keep/Castle, not the entire base), and then rebuild it. However whenever I try to summon a militia, I get the message that I can't due to there being no Town Halls. Has anyone else noticied this? Its only happened once, though.

Thats because you can only use militia with your main town hall, the one you spawn with.

Short, sweet, and correct. It's frustrating when you have expansions over the other side of the map but I suppose it prevents certain kinds of abuse.
you can use militia again once you get a new th up to keep

But it gets destroyed... and I rebuilt one exactly where the first one was! If you lose the town hall, then you should be able to spawn militia from another one? This seems like a silly system to me. Like "Failed to join the game = LOSS!" That happened to me last night.

Sometimes failed to join the game = TIE. It's a 50/50 chance, I believe.
I havent noticed that militia thing before but i think its been there forawhile sounds silly but meh.
That cannot find game is gay, but it doesent happen all the time.
Oh and btw is that disc or drop hack still going around atm?

Yes, but Blizzard are doing the right thing and banning accounts left right and centre.

Militia can only be produced from the original town hall or from any Keep or higher peasant-producing building. If your main gets destroyed, well, them's the breaks. Obviously if you rebuild it, it's not the same main that you started the game with and thus does not produce the same capabilities.
Sort of like if you died and your parents had another kid, it'd be silly to assume that they'd be the same. Anyway, I think the lesson here is: don't lose your main hall. Or if you do, get a Keep ASAP.
The reason that this was implemented was because the HU expo for a long period was MF'ing crazy-impossible to stop. You know that really annoying thing HUs can do on LT with calling militia at their main and running them over to their expo? Well, imagine that as soon as their expo is done, irregardless of towers, they could immediately call five 300 move speed footies to the scene. Your five ghouls and DK are boned, as are your FS and grunt, as are your DH and two archers. No way to stop it. Thus, it was rightly nerfed.

Meh, mass hunts tower push > Hu expansion in most cases. Build the two AoWs right outside the entrance to the FE and then pump Hunts while towering up in the shroud. Shortround did it to Sky in the WCG Final, only problem was Sky had far better micro and won. :)

So it works great, except when it loses. For instance, try getting a cross-spawn on LT and making this work.
I think you're far better getting some hunts AND archers together and then going for the towers with archers. Plain hunts running into 25DPS piercing towers sounds like suicide. My personal take on HU expos is that getting up an expo of your own while harassing the HU tends to be much more productive than any do-or-die pushes. It slows their tech waaaaaay down, forces them to get shitty footies, and cramped expo-peasants are almost impossible to properly protect against AoE spells.
