View Full Version : KoTH week 7 - Challenger vs Challenger!
This week hails the first week with the absence of our 1st, 6 time champion and reigning King, RedRag. He will be returning to us in a few weeks, and after much thought, I've thought of a solution.
RedRag will be stripped of his title for the next 2 weeks. On his return around the 1st week of August, he will automatically be slated to play in that weeks match against the new King, without a vote for that week. That was the best solution I could come up with while maintaining a fair set of matches and times and without delaying the competition and possibly losing interest.
So, this week will play out a bit differently. The two players with the top votes will play, just like week 1 of the competition. Then, the winner will basically be the Sheriff of Nottingham for the next two weeks, until our dear own King Richard returns from Italy.
I'm back from cooldown, Cole1 is currently out for cooldown.
So, let's get our votes straightened out. Who will play? Who won't! Voting ends Thursday, so you have 4 days to vote! Don't make me roll dice this week!

Lets make this interesting. Me vs grog for "temporary" koth. Were the only ones that ever won vs redrag. So i think its time we saw which one of us stands where. Ive been wanting a best of 5 with grog for a long time but i know hes busy with work and stuff. i know im kinda on cooldown but i think cooldown shouldnt apply since this isnt vs the actualy koth, redrag. What do you say grog? But i guess its up to the other koth contestants.

Cole, I suspect that one day we will meet on the King of the Hill battlefield. I'm very much looking forward to that day, and I think the games we will play won't soon be lost in people's memory.
But right now, we need to watch Bred get wailed on by GA or Prozerran. Or I suppose he could win, but I'm doubtful. Bred been practicing solo much?
Bred is another guy from BF, much like myself, Cole, Wisp, DC, and more. He is a shaman of Clan JHAD, and his record consists of mostly RT play.

Ok, first to vote. I suppose since I'm the only vote on the page, and my vote being for GA, I hope someone votes for Bred and let's see him put his money where his mouth is. Or, you could vote for me. I hope I face GA. I really think he's the only one here I could play and honestly not predict the outcome. But whatever. Let's see some votes people! I'd like to see Proz' against GA, I think it would be more of a match than Bred vs GA. ;)
Anyway, I voted for Proz'. And interestingly, (notso)easyJet cancelled Friday's flight so we're now having to pack on the Friday, leave at like 3:30AM on Saturday morning and miss our night in Rome. :cry:
Bred you may want to remember something very important. I play alot more solo than you do and have better micro than you do (Yes i know prides a sin blah blah) so before you get set on owning redrag you might want to remeber me and redrag has had alot of close games and were near same skill. So unless you think you can me too, then you better tone down the confidence or tone up the solo play :O.
Also im guessing GAs a comparable skill level to redrag or me or someone so it may not be as easy as you think bred :O.

I think it's fairly obvious to everyone that the dude's a scrub. I'm sort of mulling over my Vs. HU strats. This should be very interesting.

btw, Bred, I beat RedRag too before the competition, 1 random game doesn't mean shit compared to a best of 5. Plus, people always do practice and *gasp* get better over time!
Redrag was almost dethroned last week..He was holding on by a thread of hope for quite some time~

GA mulling through his Human Match-up Strategies... it's like the sound of impending doom or something... wait... now I'm mulling through my Orc Match-up Strategies and I feel a whole lot better. GA, if it's gotta be us, it's gotta be us. If I recall correctly, at one point I challenged you to a game where I was denied. This has to be the oldest of "grudge matches", so to speak, that people will see here on Warboards. Win or lose, this match-up is definitely worth the vote.
And now to issue the trash talk. Prepare to be "treaded upon." Viva la Resistance!

this should be a good game, i dont know who i think or i want to win, but i think that Proz will win, mainly because he has been practising and GA stopd playing for awhile, but it should be good.
Eh i think GA will win unless proz surprises me and shows his skills. Mainly since GA was from my clan and beat a few good people. I dunno though. Its anyones game.

I can just imagine what the next week's MU is going to be like if RR is still away on vacation and GA is the champ for this weeks KotH competition. Serb is better than anyone here TT. I dont ever beat serb, i jsut come close sometimes. He is truly the king of gay strats. But he tought me how to play ud vs ne on LT. I havent soloed serb in a long long time though so i would like to see where i stand vs him now.

I was referring to months back, I think he actually admitted it was because he was map hacking. Apparently he's using one of his smurfs on the forums atm. :rolleyes:
He also needs to learn how to type in english, as well.

No, WC3 skill is definitely more useful than grammar.
oh yea because when you kids go to your future careers at mcdonalds your going to need grammar alot.
When you have enough skill to beat level 50 Uds with just gyro/engine then who the hell needs grammar?
Warcraft 3 is just a past time for me; I don't spend my life playing it or time thinking about it when I'm doing other things. I spend much more time studying. ;)

Tell that to grubby who makes a 6 digit yearly salary. I dont really study that much. im satisfied with getting As and Bs. If i dont need to study then i dont. Alot more fun things to do. I dont see the point in trying to be a perfectionist when it comes to grammar.

Just because i dont act smart on a forum, doesnt mean im not good in school,lol. I take honors and AP classes too. But sometimes i fall asleep in class, sometimes i listen to my ipod. Then i just go do pretty good on the test. I usually study 30-45 minutes once every 3 days or something. The thing is just because you act stupid doesnt mean you are stupid. Plus i play sports to in school too so i dont really feel like doing stuff anyways. You dont have to go to a school like harvard to get a degree... I doubt very few people from this forum could actually get into that school anyways. Ill be happy when i go to UF.
