*Takes chance to politely ask for thread moval into the Map & mods Depot area (http://www.warboards.org/forumdisplay.php?f=19)* You might wanna check this (http://www.staredit.net/index.php?download=4564). And it wouldn't hurt if you peeped around there as well, since it has other apps that do similar. ;)

I think Audacity (http://audacity.sourceforge.net) will do it.

Uh I posted about wavs to m3 awhile ago. Google Mp3 to wav and you will get tons of converters and stuff.

Set up a trigger to play the sound and you should use the wav importer. Also keep in mind that wavs can really hike up the map size.

Like TimP said, Audacity is fine for this, and pretty good for other operations, too.

like ceaser342 said, if you import any sounds longer than a few seconds, you won't be able to host the map on battle.net because people wont be willing to sit for 5 minutes while the map downloads to everyones computer.

Ya I learnt that the hard way. I wanted some music so I put a ledzep song into a unprotected Tarpit D map. God the DL was so slow it was scary O_O
