So, RedRag vs Cole, a rematch of Week 3. All 5 games played, and here they are.
Game 1 - In which RedRag is comprehesively thrashed.
Cole goes FS/SH Grunt/Raider/Wyvern against my initial FS/BeastM Mass Caster build but then switching to Grunt/Raider/Walker (with fast tech). Cole keeps pressure up the entire game and takes down my main right at the end, thereby basically ending the game.
1-0 Cole
Game 2 - In which RedRag is educated once again and Cole takes a commanding lead.
Cole goes DH/BM/Tinker and Hunts at Tier 1, switching to Talons, keeping pressure up most of the game. I go FS/SH Raider/Grunt/Demo and there are a couple of to-and-fro battles before Cole takes home the victory.
2-0 Cole
Game 3 - In which RedRag stares into the barrel of a 3-0 loss and cheeks the gunman.
Cole goes FS/Grunts, I tower rush him with a Firelord.
2-1 Cole
Game 4 - In which Cole picks a non-tavern map and RedRag is forced to resort to 1337 skillz.
Cole goes FS/TC Grunt/Raider/Walker, I go AM/MK Foots, teching to Mass Casters with a Peasant Push at Tier 2.
2-2
Game 5 - In which RedRag spam clicks, shreds his nails, and hopes his manner strat pays off.
Cole goes DK/Lich Ghoul/Garg against my (manner) DR/Panda Archer/Talon. Definitely the best game of the lot. Cyclone surrounds, awesome micro from both players and pressure abound.
3-2 RedRag
Huzzah! I win for the 6th week running. Go, me. However, unless a whirlwind vote can be held and Proz' (because he will win it, let's face it) can play me before Friday, I'm afraid this week's KoTH will be my swansong until I get back from Italy.

Hmm, with such attention spanning descriptions I sure had dl'ed the replays. ;) Let's see what we got later (after I dine, that is).

In response to the inevitable "redrag won so cole must suck comments", yea w/e go fuck yourself blah blah blah go die commit suicide, overdose on advil.

Oh, and DR/panda archermasstalon is definitely NOT manner.
That last game was a pretty good game though. Advantage switched from me to redrag and back again several times.

First of all, you're totally killing the competition being humble and crap like a whimpie British twit. So, SHUT UP I HATE YOU!
Next, how long will you be gone, because I'm totally down with starting a new KoTH with the rest of the pool, giving you the win for the first series and starting from square one since you've been the dominating player of the whole series. I'd honestly like to play you when you're at your peak and not distracted by this trip to Italy - not that I think you'd make excuses, I just want some good games out of you.
So, to summarize...
Yes, I will pulverize you, even though I like you and all... but it better be real games and not you dodging because you've got some trip coming up...
Besides, some of these guys haven't even had an opportunity to play... so maybe it would be good to re-establish the pool and start KoTH II... or play me and let me whoop up on ya... I don't care as long as they're great games.
Everyone has played at least once. And i dont know about you "pulverizing" someone. You do play hu though, and that gives you a serious edge over orc...

Nah, while I think Hu has some advantages, anything can happen... and it's no surprise that Insomnia's been owned more than once by Grubby - two of the best players for the match-up. I just don't buy into the "Human gets free wins against Orc" and the like... I say let the players determine the result, not the match-ups.
Im not saying its a free win, but i am saying hu has a rather large advantage over the orc. T2 push is near unbeatable and fl tower rush is no easy strat to counter either.
Hey RR, PM me the info on this trip you are taking, and we can try to work something out in the meantime while you are gone. If it's a long period of time (I'm thinking a month or so) we might put you on temporary hiatus.
If it's a small period of time, I'll probably be flexible. Anyways, let me know.

I watched this replay. Well done to both players!! Redrag, nice use of Dark Ranger. :) Cole you never did anything with Tier 3, and just massed ghoul garg the whole game. Not the best strat against a DR + archers + dotts. If only you got a single destroyer out... that would have helped against constant faerie fire and cyclone surrounds which you seemed to do nothing about. :shiftyr: I'm not saying you're a bad player though, you would have done better than me although I would have tried to reach destroyers, (albeit a long way off).
In hindsight, judging from just that replay, you two are relatively evenly matched.

Um lets go over a few things. I did do something with T3 when i had frenzy ghouls. As for destroyers i knew they would be a good idea but i thought i could t2 push so well that i could just outmass and win. My biggest fear was of course the panda which continually managed to put all my units in red hp. Cyclone surrounds didnt hurt to much, whenever he tried to surround id coil nova dotts, it really only hurt me a few times. If i was able to get destroyers out then the game would have even been more closer/longer but around late game when i needed those roys i was starting to hurt for gold and just couldnt seem to be able to afford them. Really the thing that hurt me the most was panda. My biggest regret is not buying a heal scroll or two to be honest which i seemed to have completely forgotten about :/. Those could have really changed the outcome of a few battles...
Edit- Yes me and RR are fairly evenly matched. We have both have different strengths and weakness that makes this seem to happen.
