ive stumbled upon some screenshots for the upcoming revision of Mac OS X. no sources, apart from an Anonymous at 4chan. take with a grain of salt.

Images may expire over time. I did mirror them off 4chan so they should stay here until I remove them for some reason.

Pic 1 (http://hylje.fi/files/g/) (Note: Has subtle furry art. With boobs. Don't look at the blue thing at the upper-right corner.)
I broke the link by purpose. It's still accessible in the directory index if you *really* want to see it
Widgets have reached the desktop. You can actually full-screen a window properly to fill the entire screen and the MenuBar and dock switch to a sort of "auto-hide".

If you right click the Menubar, it moves to "Auto Hide Mode" too and you can minimize to the desktop.

There's virtual desktops, too with a twisty cube effect not unlike Desktop Manager but videos and DVDs don't freeze and you can slowly switch desktops while dragging a window across them.
Pic 2 (http://hylje.fi/files/g/10.5-2.png)
Full-Screen in Pages.

OMG BOOBIES

I wish I could actually tell the improvements, or whatever between this and the current OSX.

Oh well :P

I'm still unsure what the big deal is with widgets -- I've seriously not gotten into them, even though people seem to swear by them O_o

This pleases the bluemicrobyte. One thing I really, really hate about Macs is the way the "maximized" windows aren't really maximized at all. It really bugs me to have a little empty border around any window if it's *almost* the full size of the screen, but not quite.

According to Anonymous, you should be seeing other things from elsewhere as well. The NDA secrecy is slowly being lifted, and Apple developers and employees can show cool things -- one or two things per board, though.

Mhm. I'm waiting for BC to be made into either a paid product, incorporated into Leopard as a forced upgrade or similar.

But besides that, yeah, at least for me these sort of screenies bode well.

It only makes me wish more that I could have a mac. But, I'm comfortable with my pretty tower PC for now.

I would be surprised if Boot Camp didn't come with the operating system.

Depends on how far they get with it, and Vista's release in relation to the release of Leopard. I bet if Vista gets rushed out that you'll for certain see Boot Camp in 10.5

...

However if Vista is again delayed, I think there's a large chance Boot Camp will either remain in beta or become its own bundle.

[ if someone missed it, these are pretty much at "hoax" status. ]
