Does anyone know how i can create a new account on Battle.net?

If you want to solve your problem, you have to give us more detail. Are you playing Starcraft or Warcraft?

Let me rephrase his instructions:

Start playing Starcraft or Warcraft III then go to Multiplayer from the main menu. Select battle.net from the list and you will be prompted for a username/password. From there, click "create new account" and follow the instructions. You can't make an account from www.battle.net, only from within the game itself.

Just to clarify, this is false, unless you were referring to in-game Battle.net access.

when i try to go to multiplayer in starcraft (and Brood war) it says "Searching for the fastest battle.net connection, then it says: "unable to connect to battle.net. If you are using a modem to acces your service provider and are not configured to dial-up networking, you may have to initiate the connection manually.

Are you useing AOL? If you are do you have partental controls activated for your account? i ran into a problem with AOL, when i was younger my partents had parental controls activated and i couldent connect to b-net. If your not useing AOL what are you useing?

Are you on dial-up? If you're not, then it could be your internet connection malfunctioning.

Do you use a router through which you connect to the internet? If you do, then you must manually open ports in order to access Battle.net.

I'm using Comcast and there aren't any parental controls.
