Im making an rpg, and in it, i want to have firewalls. to do this, I thought that i could have nunkers with 1% health that are invinceible, and cloak them to make a firewall effect. I tried it, and the bunkers for the comp (obviously). by the time i typed black sheep wall to see if it worked, all that was left where the bunks should have been is rubble. i tried again, this time having them for p1 so i could see them from the very beggining. They where there, I clicked on them and they where invincible, they where burning, yet they still dided od burning down. why does this happen when the unit is invincible?

Set the HP to 35% instead.

then again, what would we do here if no one asked questions?

Just so you know what's going on, the buildings still burn even if they are invinceable, which is where your problem lies. You could fix the problem and still have it burn at about 10% btw.

well i tried 10%, same thing happened, but 35 works, because it still has enough fire, yet is not in the red zone so will not burn down.

If you constantly set its health to 10% it would work. ;)

Couldn't you preserve an always trigger of setting it to like 5%???? That would be maximum fire with no death right?

Depends on if you have hyper triggers or not and what the game speed is. If on fastest 5 might not be enough if the bunker has too little max hp. I suppose if you set the hp of bunkers high enough you could though...

Yeah, I think that would work with hyper triggers or higher health.

9999 Health + 1% hp + Hyper triggers + 1% hp constant trigger = 1337 :)

Do the units have to be owned by a human player for the enable doodad state to work?

Seeing as how No one answered before, Ill have to post this question again: Will bunkers cloak if they are owned by a neutral or computer player? and if so, how?

Yes they will definatley for computer players, P12, uh... If you can find some p12 tiggers with the disable actions then they should.

Players: Player 8 (dosn't really matter)

Conditions: Whatever takes your fancy.

Actions: Disable doodad state for bunker owned by player 8 at location.

Replace p8 for p12.

I have got it to work before.

Post the triggers/map you are using.

nvm, I finally got it to work, I dont know what I was doing wrong.

It seems that enabling doodad state also cloaks bunkers, but only for human players...strange.

Dangit, it worked once, and the bunker said disabled in red letters, but now all it does is make it so you cant click on it. I attached the rpg, and added a shuttle where the bunkers are supposed to cloak for debug.

It isn't working because you only disabled one bunker. (the one in the corner) The bunker is disabled but because there is no shared vision for p7 you see a normal bunker. Usually they are cloked and you would see nothing but because you had a shuttle there when it was disabled the image of the bunker still shows. Either that or you have stacked multiple bunkers ontop of each other and they are showing through so it looks like your triggers arn't working.

Uh... Right...?

Edit: What does this have to do with this thread? I didn't just help solve one of his problems did I?
