Javascript Modification Help

I'm using the following script from dynamicdrive.com to make a drop down menu on my website

I've set up the menu using CSS position:fixed to keep it at the top of the page, however, the script listed above doesn't adjust to work with a fixed item on a page -- on the page below, the menu works fine if you don't scroll down but when you scroll down and try to mouseover the menu then there is a problem.

Does anyone know how to modify the script so that it re-adjusts the position of the drop down menu to be where it should be if someone rolls over the link after scrolling down on the page?

One bump. If no one knows how to rewrite/modify this bit of javascript, please say so and I'll think up an alternative to having a nav bar "fixed" at the top of every page.
