It depends what you consider a monster. I'd like to think of a monster as a large, elusive, probably carnivores creature, that has yet to be discovered by science.
What really creeps me out is whats lurking at the bottom of the oceans, I could just imagine what kind of nasty stuff hangs out down there :s

Yeah, what Babs said. Who wants to look at mars to see if there are fucking bacteria, there's all kinds of life down on the ocean floor yet to be discovered.
and about the real question, if I believe in monsters, well...wtf? Be specific

It doesn't lie. Did I miss something in this thread that makes this crappy map relevant to the conversation?

That map is a beauty.
Monsters? What need of we for monsters, when the real horror lurks in the hearts of those people we blithely call human? I'm talking about Hitler, Stalin, Harold Shipman, Osama Bin Laden, Saddam Hussein, those kids responsible for the Colombine massacre, the terrorists who seized that school in Russia...
Monsters? Highly likely. But I'm more afraid of my fellow men.
Forgot to mention: SarahK. :P

We didn't ask what the fuck you are. Besides, you're a bitch with too much free time, not a Demoness.
The only monsters I beleive in are the ones in nature. No boogeyman bullshit for me.

Pssst, little secret. YOU HAVE MORE POSTS PER DAY! 'Sides, he's been here longer; posts counts of around 2-3k are more common.
CrazyTom

SarahK's numbers = :bonk:
I believe you'll find Spartan has less than 3000, anyhow. :P
As for what you are, I stand corrected.

Ohh he has 4,38 posts per day and you have 4.62. Whos the forum geek? If you'd stay as long as him you'd probably have 3500.
Edit: Damn kong is faster then me.

I think that the real monsters lurk in the hearts of fellow man. Also those which we call monsters [ie nessie, big foot] they arent really monsters, but rather different un discovered animals... kind of similar to calling a common bird a monster because we know nothing about it.

There is certainly a lot of stuff about Earth we don't and may never know - stuff at the bottom of oceans, creatures that could exist deep in the Earth's core, the worms from tremors...
Edit: Changed this post 'cause Kong was annoyed.

I think you'll find I said this on the last page... :smirk:
The point of this post is? It isn't a posting contest, no-one cares if you're about to edit something or whether you already said something unless someone else takes the credit.
CrazyTom

No, the edit was 'cause I'd put something but more people had said stuff, a common error I make. So 'cause I needed to think what to put and I couldn't delete my post, I put 'about to edit'.
Sorry about the last page thing. I was joking.
Edit:
Perhaps the question here should be 'what is a monster?'

Meh, don't know it, it's an abomination, but I'm sure the owner misses all the publicity

I read the full story on CNN after he died. The owner found the poor guy on the side of a street. He had apparently been abused, manhandled, tortured, and left for dead. The lady nursed him (it?) back to health, named him Sam, and tried to give him a normal life. Obviously, he never truly behaved like a typical, happy dog would, but he would bark at people when they came to see him, wag his tail when he got food, stuff like that.
Yeah, he died not very long ago. Six months or fewer, I don't remember exactly. Fairly recently.
Bleh.
