Basically, this is just a SC version of the classic board game, called checkers.
To Do List:
Terrain: 100% Complete
Triggers: 88% Complete
-End Game Triggers
Alpha Testing: 0% Complete
Beta Testing: 0% Complete
Release Date: N / A
Total Completion: 47%
Now begins the tedious Alpha Testing. I'll need a few people to help me test this. Requirements are that you are an experienced member of the community, you have low lag on battle.net and you must know how to play checkers. (a given, but you never know, right?)
Are you redoing the triggers from scratch, Doom?
Your previous version would've been incredibly successful, but some trigs failed :(
Good luck for you.

Good luck, DD. This is like, what? 4 months in the making?

Well I had to redo the entire trigger system because I was using air units to grid and I resized the terrain. I should be done with the triggers (again) by this weekend, or so I hope.

I really, really hope this project works out for you Doom! After this, you should do a really simple project. It'll take your mind off things.

Have you thought of using DarkVision's grid system to do movement checking? I can think of a way that would require very few triggers... Using Corsairs as Checkers and Using D-Web to target movement... Damn... I might make a Checkers map sometime in the future, Doom, just to see if it works. Only hard part would be double-jumping... How are you handling that, BTW?

I thought I showed you the system...I'm using griding for everything. Not really using DarkVisions griding, because I knew how to do it before he explained it. To handle double jumps, all I do is check the adjacent squares for another checker of the other color. If there isn't 1, then your turn ends.

Perfect. You probably did show me, but I forgot. Getting senile in my old age.

Now that I think about it, I don't think I did, lol.

Yeah, you did. Now I remember it clearly. I still have a copy of what you had done before you left back at home. I asked you the exact same question back at BF.

Was that the uber trigger version or the pwning trigger version?
Note: Uber = Many & Pwning = Less but more fluent and such

I ran into quite a large problem today, so my progress has been set back about a day...
What's the source of your troubles, Doom?

It seems when I resized the terrain, I failed to take into account the fact that sieged tanks have limited range... pos...
BTW, I just realized someone else made a checkers map already, and even though his movement system was horrid compared to mine, and you can't double jump in his, I'm thinking of killing this project once and for all.

:(
Awww, no, don't do that...
Or if you do, this time at least make the map available under the GNU public license ;)

Now why would I give out my map? I might get bored one day and decide to finish it (not likely. stupid person who made checkers before me... :()

Ok, I can get on from 7-9 today and tomorrow.
Edit: I think I'll have to make a new thread when I decide to release this (which'll probably be sometime early next week if I can get the alpha testing done in a timely manner) though. People have lost faith in me... :(
I don't have much to do.

Oky Doky. I'm DoomDragoon666 just in case I don't see you get on. I might be in a game, so just yell at me and I'll come asap.
Just to let you know, I have all of the following completed:
Selection, Deselction (changing your mind), Movement Detection, Multi-Jumps, and Kinging. Is there anything else that checkers needs? For the most part, the game is complete. I just need to do testing to make sure everything works like it should and add in the polishing touches to make it a 1337 map.
Edit: Just thought of something. 7 for me is 4 hours from now. It is 3 right now for me. Just to make sure we're on the same page.
