In my opinion that's caused by the parents too, who allow the kiddies to get n' do whatever crosses his/hers mind. Having kids should forcefully mean that you must educate'em to the best of your knowledge and not to allow them to be/act as spoiled brats. That kid looks like he's been stuffed into a fat suit.

It's all the parents' fault. No way is any kid going to choose a healthy option when fast food is cheaper, tastier and as the name implies, quicker. The parents need to get off their backsides and keep an eye on what their kids eat.

To be perfectly honest, unless there's some backstory to this that I don't know about, I'd say the parents of those children aren't fit to be looking after their kids. They'd be better off with foster parents, or even in an orphanage.

Whats sad is, that statement is true. But its nobodies fault but their own. No one makes you eat your way into the halls of obesity, and it you blame it on depression your a lazy sack of shit that cant take responsibility for your tubby ass actions.
I was chunky when I was like 9, but I lost the weight when I got older, I also don't eat fast-food of any kind, and I get exercise regularly. Staying in shape isn't as hard as people make it out to be. Come on people, if we get to damn fat how are we gonna fight off the ruskies when they finally come!? >o<

Well in the case of the children, the argument is that they don't have proper judgment skills to determine what to eat, so it is the responsibility of the parents. Who also apparently didn't exercise good judgment.

Actually, there is some decision that can be made on the kids part.

It's really a mix of both the kid and the parent. The kid, encouraged by the parents lack of attention, indifference, or example will gobble up all he can see.
