I'm not a fan of Adam Sandler... hell, I don't even like comedies.
However, I haven't laughed this much at the movies in a long, long time. I think I was pretty relaxed, and in a good mood when I watched the movie, which always makes comedies a lot more funny.... me and my buddies were laughing the majority of the movie.
The plot is fairly predictable, but it had a lot of well placed jokes and crude humor. If you're in the mood to laugh, I'm fairly sure that you'll like this movie. The plot was fairly solid (for a comedy), and I think the acting was pretty good. I don't watch too many Sandler movies, but this is the only one I like.
Overall, it was a good movie. If you're in the mood to laugh, you might wanna check it out in the theater. Otherwise, just wait for it on video. But overall, I think it's a movie that you'll want to see.

Your endorsement is encouraging, but I hate Adam Sandler way to much to even plan on seeing it.
Wait...is this the one with Kate Beckinsale in it?

Yes, yes it is. Sadly, she has an American accent in this film. She's at her best when she speaks with her native accent. Mmmm
I'll wait for video, but I'll definitely see it.
Im torn. On the one hand, the movie has Adam Sandler. And where Adam Sandler is, Rob Sneider follows. On the other, it has Kate Beckinsale, and I swore to myself once that I would never miss a Kate Beckinsale movie. I feel morally torn.

I don't think Rob Schneider is in this movie, mtank.
It looks like a cute movie to me, but I probably won't see it, just because I don't go to the theater very often.

I make a point of shunning Adam Sandler movies. He's about as funny as a bad herpes outbreak.

Adam Sandler didnt do a bad job in Spanglish as far as staying away from his normal crude humor, after seeing it I've kept an open mind about future productions by him. Though, the one thing that's keeping me from this movie is the predictability. Sandler has family with problems -> gets remote control -> has fun -> realizes that he's missing his own life -> reverses what he does and lives happily ever after

I have yet to find a comedy that has a good plot.
What do you expect?

BI, watch Zoolander. The plot is perfect!
IMO, comedies don't really need a plot :)

Haha, that was funny :D
I don't think he's repulsively bad or annoying, like Will Ferell, he's just very cheesy and not very funny. I've only seen two movies by him though, maybe that's the reason.
Big Daddy: Not funny, but cute and cheesy. 6/10
Mr. Deeds: Cheesy and predictable. Not funny. 4.5/10
Meh...I guess he does kinda suck :P

I like Adam Sandler, but he isn't the best actor. Hell sometimes he sucks. But Happy Gilmour made me like him.
The movie looks good, and predictiable as said before, but it's a rental on my list.
