the toss rock the if you have 10 photons then you can kill at least like 40 zerglings
and how can you not think that the carriers pwn?
plus i h8 the zerg because
1.I always die as them {well quicker anyway}
2.it is to slow to make their units
with protoss you can make 5 zealots in one order but 3 zerglings in one order i dont think so
plus the zealots are 3-5 times stronger than zerglings and dragoons PWN
now is that enough of protoss obsession 4 u there?

Meh, it won't take you so long to get popular, provided you follow the rules, make sure your posts are typed right (that's a big thing that subtly annoys people, just to warn you) and don't flame / post pointless stuff / personally attack. Read the rules, they'll help you get off to a good start.

Anyhow, as the others have said, you should have introduced yourself in the New Members thread and posted your StarCraft questions in a thread in the SC section...

Still, everybody makes mistakes. Have fun at Warboards, but don't think you can defy the mods and get away with it - they who can ban have the power. General advice.

On the plus side, it's always good to have fresh blood... I mean, new faces! :P

3 zergling eggs gives you 6 zerglings, and they all appear at once, whereas Zealots come one at a time. Plus, build more than one hatchery (or gateway, for that matter). In fact, if you only have one gateway, you'll probably lose quite a bit because you just can't keep up in unit production.

and im really new to starcraft just started playing it my brother is good at it {as zerg} and he told me about it
the only reason im bad at the game is because the computers build theyre zealots or marines really quickly and rush me
but i hold them off with masses of photons
but by the time i build an army the computers have 10 bases and are just about to kill me
ill get this problem sorted out soon...i hope

You should head down to the Starcraft Forums, we've got some pretty good players down there.

I remember when I was first starting out on Starcraft, It was hard to learn a build order at the beggining that worked well, but eventually I got there. Now my favorite races to play would be zerg/toss. I like terran as well, but they require a shift in gameplay sometimes.

Even though photons are good, they shouldn't be a main defence. Use units as main defence and then back them up with cannons.

what i was thinking of doinng in 1 on 1s is build 2-3 photons and have 10 zealots
and of course build more probes in the beginning
but once ive got a base set up watch out
therell be reavers and archons everywhere

Most people who are new usually slough off the internet language after a few days. Either that, or it becomes an acceptable part of thier identity, which only works when one has loads of personality to unleash.

Anywho, starcraft is a great game, but I lost the disk and my Dad uninstalled the thing. *Grumbles*
Thankfully, one of my friends owes me a favor, and he'll buy a copy for me.

Welcome, Protoss7! We do talk like that here, UMLS Dragon is an internet rookie, and as such hasn't learned the intricacies of internet speak.

I enjoy playing Protoss, and Zerg can be fun (when I use the cheats on a map, and slowly cover the entire map with creep! mwah, ha, ha!!!), but I am a red-blooded Terran player.

As Neo said, the difficult thing, especially against the computer during multiplayer maps, is definitely getting the build right. The proper number of gatherers vs. the number of resources devoted to defense and offense are critical decisions to your strategy. Check out starcraft.org (wonderful site! some amazing strategies can be found there), and the SC forums here. Both are great resources.

And come by the online roleplaying forum! We need some fresh blood in the Terran Legion!

lol -- The Terran Legion is a roleplaying game, not a video game group. We're not playing the game, we're roleplaying using the ships and character types from the game.

And we have a Protoss force present in the game. You certainly don't have to join if you don't wish, but the option is there.
