A similarity or is it just me?

I don't know, maybe it's just me but I do had the deja vu feeling when I heard about HG:L, because some time ago I've been playing Apocalyptica, which is quite resembling HG:L, if you ask me...

(the official website for Apocalyptica was up for like 4-6 months, then it died. Only reviews on different sites are now left e.g.http://gameinfowire.com/game.asp?gid=496)

I remember Apocalyptica. Quake III powered action game from Konami, eh?

I recall that one being centered more around the equivalent of offline deathmatches than classic hack 'n slash RPG. I also recall it being a shooter more inline with Unreal Championship than anything else. If that's basically correct, than our two games are basically different.

You may be right, but Apocalyptica was the first game I know of with such a background. What were the others, btw?

Now, just replace the templar with the word marine and there you have it.

But with the humor, and analytical jokes aside, I don't think they are extremely similar, but the general plots might reflect each other to a small degree.
