I'm having trouble making units stay in a certain location. For the computer, I made a 'attack to region' trigger for a group of Footmen. They attack a group of enemy units in front of them, but when they move on and go to the location I told them to, they turn back and run to the place where they were created.

Iam sorry, i don't quite understand what you did and what you are trying to accomplish, its sort of blended in your post. But one thing it migth could be, is; You make them attack a group at the spawn point, which automatically means when the group is dead or out of reach, the attacking group will fall back to its previous position, in this case the place at which they were when the order was given. If you attack a point and not a unit, they will attack and follow any enemies they find on the way, then if the enemy gets a certain amount of space away from the attacking unit, the attacking unit will turn back to its original course and destination. Now when the units hit this destination, that would be the new "point of origin".

Ok...

Heres what I'm trieng to do. I'm making an in-game cinamatic; a group of soldiers bust through a door and charge at a bunch of Naga creatures. Lets say there is a room I want the humans to attack to. After they kill the Naga creatures, they enter the room but they go back to the same spot where I placed them in the World Editor.

If you attack a point and not a unit, they will attack and follow any enemies they find on the way, then if the enemy gets a certain amount of space away from the attacking unit, the attacking unit will turn back to its original course and destination.

I think thats it. But I don't want them to go back or anywhere else, just the place I told them to go to and they're not doing it.

ok say
Event: unit enters region
Condition: unit entering unit = footman
action: unit issue an order with no target: Hold positon

It's better to have them ordered "Stop" than "Hold Position"..

This would've taken me days to figure out. I think I learn much about how this editor works now. Thanks everyone. :)
