I remember almost all of that stuff, some of it was sitting in the back of my mind semi-forgotten about. I used to spend hours playing Oregon Trail on my Windows 3.1 computer.

Oh, and they forgot Earthworm Jim, and Freakazoid. They were on in the same time block on the WB as the Tick. If I remember right. *shrug*

I've seen the link before.

I remembered all of them.

Btw, Schwitzer, why is my thread still locked? Your justification was false; the link hadn't been posted. Only the image had, and I had made that ytmnd abot 15 minutes before posting it. Unlock it please.

Lol, remember when 1 Gig HDD were considered huge?

I had a 1 GB harddrive, and the guy that sold it to my dad promised that we would never fill it up. I guess he made too many promises like that, because the company went out of business a few years later.

Yup, And I still remember shows like "Family Matters" (Yay Erkil!) "Step by Step" "Boy meets world" and "The Dinosaurs". I used to watch "The Tick" and "Garfeild and friends" on Saturday mornings along with "Darkwing Duck". My best friend still has "Killer Instinct". I remember crystal pepsi (crap stuff) and used tp play with "Gak". I remember comercials advertiesing the 3DO for those outrageous prices (I actually got one too :P) I had crossfire. And a friend of mine was consumed by "Goosebumps". I had a "Skipit". And the only pair of shoes I'd wear would have to be LA Lights. I remember quite abit about the old days... Kinda sad to think back then. I miss it.

This link forgot probably the most important two things of the 90's: Legends of the Hidden Temple and Salute Your Shorts. Legends = greatest Nick game show ever, if not the best game show ever.

The best part is, my digital cable gets Nickelodeon "GAS" (Games and Sports) which airs a lot of shows from the late 80's and early 90's, including Legends of the Hidden temple.

I've never understood how the grade system ties in with colleges / schools here in England - I'm 17, I'm just going into Year 13 or Upper 6th - what grade would that be?

ScottieIWU
06-25-2006, 4:55 PM
Um, you'd probably be going into your senior year of high school here, grade 12.

dear lord... My computer that I got in my room is from the 90's... God knows what year... but, between its TWO internal hard drives: 5 Gigs. Yes, folks. 5. I only got like 20 Megs of RAM to work with with Windows XP on there. Luckily I got all my good stuff on the other drive, so I can play SC and Alpha Centauri without problems

hehe, I STILL play KI Gold on my N64. I love Sabrewulf. Too bad Cinder got the boot.

Nice dude....All Dogs Go to Heaven? Money. There are some sweet cartoons on there too. I guess the whole brimless baseball cap thing never came ot my town though....

Neutral, please. 5 gigs is gigantic. I remember the first Pentium we got came with a 500MB hard drive. The word gigabyte had not even been invented yet. And I'm pretty sure the Killer Instinct they are showing was for SNES, not N64. Don't worry, you will have your day for nostalgia. :)

I only have never heard of Pogs, L.A Lights and some of the games.

I can't believe you got XP to run on 20 megs of ram. XP has a minimum requirment of 128 and I've seen machines that run slow as sludge with 64 in them. It's a mirical that it actually runs.

I have one sitting next to my desk that is 4 gig. Windows 3.1, with Commander Keen 1-4, Number Munchers, Super Munchers, Oregon Trail, The Incredible Machine, Glider, Dr. Quandry's Island, and Mavis Beacon on it, all of which they forgot in that video.

Top that.

I can't top it. Whats really crazy is that those 1 gig harddrives that you "couldn't fill up" can now be made into a size that fits into the palm of your hand and is about the size of your thumb. And you can actually get it for around 25 bucks.

Heh, I remember hearing about 500mb and 1Gig drives and thinking the same thing. Of course, if movie and audio burning never came around, we still wouldn't need anything close to what we're using. I have a 200Gb drive and it was almost full with movies and music. Unbelievable.

U-238

Lol, and here I'm trying to keep my 20 gig as free as I can. I really want one of those 320s or 500s. Wonder how long it'll take before the brand spanking new 750s are as old as a 500 meg drive. I'd give it 3-5 years.

Neon Genesis Evangelion started in 1995 and ended the next year... a good date. :)

battle b-da man(old version) was probably one of the most annoying animes in the 90's.
