Bleh, get that crap out of my face.
Hey developers it's time you make a REAL game. That means when you hit the wall, you are actually scraping and denting your car. When you hit a semi at 70, your car actually gets totaled, instead of some oversized speed bump.
I'm sick of these so called "simulations", when all you need to do is hold the gas button and turn. There's a REASON why there's brakes on cars; we don't want mess up our rides.
The thrill of street racing isn't who's first, but avoiding obstacles like walls, signs, other cars, BECAUSE YOUR CAR MIGHT CRASH OR... YOU MIGHT DIE.
That's what's missing in the racing genre today.
That's why racing games to me are nothing more than a train ride. When I ride a bike downhill, I get adrenaline because I don't want to get injured.
Eh, so racing games of today suck.
In fact, I encourage y'all to bust out your N64s and find a copy of Star Wars Episode I Racer. This:

This game has you going friggin fast and the rush is you avoid the walls so you don't screw your ride. Oh and your parts WILL wear down, so you'll have to replace them again and again. Someone needs to use this formula these days.

Eh the reason I liked MW and the first Underground game was because it WASN'T realistic. If I wanted super realism I'd go play Grand Turismo or somethin'.
If I want to get in a car I'll never afford and drive it like I'm fucking insane and crash into cops, then speed away laughing as they try and catch me then I'll use NFS, and since I drive in real life I'd rather race in games.

You might also want to try Project Gotham Racing, Rallysport Challenge, Mario Kart, Dakar, Wipeout or F-Zero.
I don't care if developers have all this handling, engine noise bullshit right. What matters is if you do 50 at a semi, it's a big deal.
You know what, this makes me like GTA more. If you jack a very RARE car, you actually want to take care of it, instead of mopping the streets. You car will get dented to the point where your car will blow up (okay not realistic, but the point is you don't want to wreck it).
They need to rename the brake button to powerslide in those other games. Gran Turismo? Does it have your cars actually breaking down in performance? Then how is that realistic?
Racing games these days might as well have the accelerate button on by default. There are just too many of these, "damn wall, you slowed me down" instead of "damn wall, you fucked my transmission and steering". Clones, I say.
