I need an up-to-date program that will turn my CWAD's into self-running customs. If you happen to know where to get one of these, please either post it or e-mail it to me. E-mail: <BSTRhino says: sorry, we don't allow the public posting of email addresses on our forums. Please use the private messaging system instead> Thanks!

Try this http://www.campaigncreations.org/starcraft/programs/index.shtml.

I use MPQDraft. If you don't have MPQ2K, get that also. You can use MPQ2K to edit MPQs and such, then use MPQDraft to create a self-running patch.

EDIT: You could also try StarDraft since you're using CWADs.

If it's a self-running CWAD, you can get a program called EXE to MPQ and run the MPQ with MPQDraft. If it's a file with a CWD extension, you'll have to extract the files using StarDraft and manually reinsert the files into a MPQ.

EXE2MPQ can be downloaded off StarCraft.org... http://www.starcraft.org/customs/resources.shtml

But since your file is just a CWAD, you could just open it with StarDraft like Mordred said.

U guys dont get it do you? Stardraft doesnt work anymore. When i try to open it with Stardraft, These messages appear: 1st: PatchOpenEx() Failed. 2nd: PatchCloseFile() Failed. 3rd: PatchGetFileSize() Failed. 4th: ERROR!!! STORM.DLL version not supported! You may see malfunctions!

So, after all of this junk happens, what do i do?????

You don't open the Patch Loader, you open the one on the left called CWAD. If it ends in an exe format, then you need to use the EXE2MPQ program found at starcraft.org.

If you really want to use CWADs and stuff like that so bad, just try reinstalling Starcraft, and just don't get any new patches. (I don't know if this works with everybody's Starcraft, but that's what I used to do.) If you don't want to bother reinstalling StarCraft, then just go to StarCraft.org, get the latest modding tools, like Arsenal 3, WinMPQ, and MPQDraft, and read the tutorials there to get started. I used to use StarDraft until I found out about those. It was a pain in the ass that everytime my brother played B.Net he whined about the new patch installing, and then I had to reinstall SC every time he did that.

Of couse stardraft still works, it just doesnt work with sc current version. all you have to do is dl a 1.07 updater if you still want to use stardraft (i dont know why you'd want to though)

Ok, first go to Launch CWAD Manager. After go to File > Open and open the CWAD. Select all the files and move them over to the side menu and drop. When it says 'export with full path', press yes. Now you have all the files in the correct folders, that you can insert into a MPQ using the MPQ Compactor.

It doesn't matter what folder you put them in, as long as you can find them and copy them into the MPQ using the MPQ compactor. I hope someone else can put in what I forgot.

I can take some screen shots and post a tutorial on how to do it. But I don't have time right now...maybe tomorrow.
