It's bugging me, that guy rings a bell. Was he a comic, a cartoon? Argh!

That gave me a laugh. He kinda looks like a Zorro wannabee.

Being an avid Indian cinema fan, let me clarify some stuff for you foo's

His name is Hrithik Roshan, and he's a popular actor in India. Maybe... the equivalent of Brad Pitt / Matt Damon.

It's a continuation of a children's story, a sequel actually. The first movie was kalled, "Koi Mil Gaya" (Translation Someone was found). It was probably the first Indian sci-fi movie I found, and it was a good kid's movie.

(A mentally challenged teenager discovers his father's old astronomy lab, and starts tinkering around with some stuff. His father had an idea to make contact with aliens using radio frequencies. It ends up that his father did make contact, and he ended up dying in an unfortunate accident. The kid makes the same contact, alien ship comes, and then the government gets involved. The alien gets left behind, and they form a friendship... and the guy is cured.)

While the story was laughable when I watched it, it was good to see that Indians are branching out from the traditional drama's and attempting new stuff. The movie seemed to be targeted at young teens and kids, which actually spurred some interest in science for the kids as well.... something most Indian films don't do.

Anyways, seeing that it was a huge success of a film, they decided to make a sequel. The main actor is the same, but in this movie, he looks like the son of the man that was cured. Apparently, when the guy was healed, he also gained some other abilities. It's directed by a famous Indian director, and the production company is also a big one. It's probably going to flop overseas, but it's defnitely something I'll actually want to see because it's the first Indian sci-fi / super hero movie I've heard of. And that's cool. :)

If nothing else, I find it interesting that India has taken such immense interst in movie making. Hell, my wife had a small bit part in "Swades" which was a big Bollywood title.

Black Ice, have you heard of it?

Wow, that's cool. I actually have a copy of that movie. I'm a semi-fan of Shah Rukh Khan.

What part was she in? Let me guess, she was one of the actors in the beginning when going over the satellite launch (I can't remember exactly, I think it was a satellite launch -- something space related).

:) I thought it was towards the end? Maybe I'm remembering incorrectly, but yes, you're right. She's the blonde with a headset on during the launch scene. She wasn't much more than an extra, but it was still cool. They had a scene where she got a bit more face time, but they cut it from the movie.

That's pretty cool. I actually watched it just to see who she is, and there's only one blond with the headset. Your wife had shoulder-length hair, right? And you're right, the launch is at the end. They introduce the project at the beginning.

Annnnyways... yeah. :)
