Fairly self-explanatory - who's seen it, who likes it, who hates it and the most important question of all...
What is going on?! :o

I'm typing an answer to a thread with no physical question
About what?
I assume your talking about the show. If you are, it kicks ass. I love it. The season finale answer a few questions and introduced new ones.

I was gonna make a thread about this too--But ya beat me to it! :D
Gosh Lost is sooo bomb! :D
Okay--Here's what's happening:
Michael was captured by the others when he was looking for his son Walt that was kidnapped by them when they were on their boat trying to get away from the island.
Now Michael got all crazy and took off into the jungle and was captured. So he kinda disappeared for several episodes but came back again outta nowhere when Kate & Jack were in the jungle.
So they bring Michael back to the hatch and take care of him and he tells them the compromised version of what he saw. He tells them he saw their hatch and they only have two guns.
Well, it turns out that when the others captured him, they told him that they wanted him to bring back: Kate, Sawyer, Jack, & Hurley. But Michael was like, "What if I can't bring them all?" Then Ms. Clue of the others was like, "Then you'll never see your son again!"
And so they let him go and he had to return to get all four of them back but he couldn't tell them the whole truth. So his story was that they had to go get Walt back and the others were only armed with two guns and they could take them in a SMALL group.
And Michael said "Kate, Sawyer, Hurley--And You Jack."
So Sawyer told Sayid (However you spell it) that one ex Iraqi soldier (Who is one of my FAVORITE character's btw :D Well, him, Sun, Jinn, Charlie, Kate, Mr. Eco, and Hurley are my fav's)
Anywayz, so Sawyer told Sayid about the trip and since Ana Lucia killed Shannon thinking she was one of the others--Sayid wanted revenge so he was down with that.
Well, Michael found out and got all crazy and told Sayid no--So since Sayid has army experience he pulls Jack to the side and tells Jack that Michael has been compromised.
Jack being the stupid one that he is is like, "What? No--How do you know?"
And so Sayid and Jack devise a plan. Sayid would come by boat and Jack and his group will go by land.
So anywayz--Before they were gonna go--Michael goes over to the hatch and starts chatt'n with Ana Lucia and she's like, "I have this gun but I can't shoot Henry." (Henry Gale is one of the others) and so Michael goes, "Can I shoot him?" And Ana is like, "Yeah." So she gives him her gun and Michael says, "Forgive me." And he shoots her dead!! :o
Okay so at the time, Hurley's woman Libby was at the hatch getting blankets for their picnic. She walks in on Michael shooting Ana Lucia and Michael shoots her too to protect himself.
He didn't wanna shoot them--But he made it look as if Henry did that to get away. So he goes over to where they are keeping Henry and lets Henry go and then Michael shoots himself in the arm making it look like Henry shot him too and then escaped.
So that's when Michael tells them all about going and getting Walt because Henry did all that.
Okay so FAST FORWARD.....
Jack, Kate, Sawyer, Hurley, & Michael are all on their way when Jack reveals to them all about Michael and how he shot Ana Lucia and Libby. Right afterwards the others ambush them with these darts that make you go into convulsions. So they all get captured and taken to the Other's "pretend camp" because they are pretending to be a bunch of barefoot hillbillies but really they are not. It's like they are from another dimension.
Okay so they are taken to the camp and Walt is given to Michael but Hurley, Sawyer, Kate, and Jack are left there.
Ms. Clue goes up to Hurley and tells him to tell his group to never come back or else there will be dire consequences--You know that whole thing.
So Hurley leaves to go back to his camp leaving Jack, Kate, & Sawyer. The last scene shows Michael and Walt driving off in the boat the others had given them. And the others told Michael that once he leaves he can never come back--So I believe that this island is in another dimension somehow.....
And that is that!

If you want to know what's going on, WATCH THE SHOW :P. It doesnt take a genious to be able to follow the plot, but you cant just start in the middle and expect to be magically 'englightened'.

When I say what's going on, I guess I'm meaning what's the bigger picture rather than what's happening in each episode... e.g. is the Island some sort of Limbo between Heaven and Hell, with all the people on the plane actually dead - the whispers they hear come from the real world? The others take away the good people? i.e. they're admitted into Heaven or the afterlife? Theories, people...
By the way, I've seen the show, up to midway through the second series. Post spoliers in a different colour so people can see them and avoid them if they want to...

The trauma caused by the crash made each person's personal demons stronger.
This in turn plays a huge role in their social psychology.
I'm betting the hatches used to experiment on such people, but as for the huge magnet, they got me.

great show!!! we are at the 116th show i think or 17th now... (in australia that is)
All I heard was that they ended up putting a Polar Bear in the jungle and having a 'Smoke Monster!' No thanks, I'll take Mortal Kombat for crappy characters and plot any time.
I'm sure it's fantastic, it's just been hyped too much.

I love Lost... Though it is slightly far fetched and each character has funny pasts.
When will there be Season 3? :(

around this winter
by the way, the magnet thing? its a qeological anomly. "The Numbers" are entered so as to release ecess build up of this energy, thus saving the world. one time the man in charge of entering the numbers forgot to. he entered them after the timer ran out, and the Massive forces tearing the island apart ceased. however, this was the very day the people aboard the plane crashed. in the cartakers own words; "I think I crashed your plane..."
oh, and the hach? its one of many. each one dealt with different subjects, such as astral projection, mind control, teleportation, etc...
the Hach used for "The Numbers" is known as "The Swan" instiliation.
these are some DEBUNKED theroeis, disproven by cast members, director, etc...
the island is NOT
-pugatory/hell/heaven
-in a time warp
-the smoke monster is not a nanobot cload as featured in the book Prey

Yes, it a great show, and its very addicting :)
I sometimes get Lost while watching Lost : \
They mention the "monster" alot of times in Season 1, and in S2, they show it.
Its like some dark smoke thing, it got face-to-face with the black dude.
I don't think this makes ANY sense.

Lost is teh pwnage!!!!
If you don't watch it, get up and go see it, NOW!
SPOILERS
SPOILERS
DON'T READ THIS IF YOU DON'T WANT TO SEE ANY SPOILERS!
Where'd you find out all the stuff about the different stations and teleportations? The pearl is obviously a psychological experiment, seeing as the papers ended up in a big pile in the middle of nowhere.

SPOILER AS WELL :D
The Pearl is just an experiment to see if they would actually do it which is really sad, lol.
ALSO! That whole "I think I crashed your plane" thingy makes sense.
Because the magnetic force builds up soooo strong--They have to enter the code in order for the magnetic force not to bring everything down.
The plane came crashing down because it was metal from the magnetic force that pulled it down.
And another thing--Anybody been to the Hansofoundation website? My mom and I have actually called the number and listened to everything. We also figured out a bunch of crazy things on the website and we have theories about exactly WHO Alvar Hanso is.
I mean seriously--He's a white guy! Haven't you seen his picture? He's a white dude named Alvar Hanso but everytime they have 'orientation' video's--They always do that "Namaste" thingy as if it was founded by ppl of Azn decent. Look at the logo!
My mom and I think that Alvar Hanso is actually in the body of their lawyer.
I believe he's been switching bodies. I think he's really azn but in the body of a white dude. Make sense?
Also--Check out what I found!

Okay comon ppl! Let's discuss theories!! :D
lost wiki eh? Wow, there are so many things here...
See you all next week. *rushes to lostpedia*
Im not a fan of lost because it goes nowhere, and the big secret at the end will be nothing same as the end of series 1.
I watched one episode, and it was about the fat guy and this guy was there and convinced him that the whole thing was a manifestation of the fat guy, this intrigued me, but in the end that was just a spin to get u watching, thats mostly y i dont like it.

You mean Hugo aka Hurley--Yeah I remember that episode! Where he was hallucinating and his imaginary friend came back outta no where and almost made him kill himself.
But then Libby stopped him.
Ya know--Now that I am talking about her--I have this theory that Libby is in fact Liddy from the Hanso foundation. Any takers? :D

Yeah, that episode. It was funny how Hurley thought Dave was real. But when the doctor showed him the picture, my first thought was "OMG! T3H GRUDGE!!!"
