DOW:WA - Me vs. Kong.

Well, I had a game against kong on dawn of war, winter assault. (anyone who hasn't got it, run to the shops and get it. NOW.) It was IG vs. IG, and as far as I'm concerned, it was a lot funner than it would have been that way.

I won, but it was a close, and fun match. see the replay for more, as I'm too tired to write much.

God that game was fun. If you can't see the replay, I expanded south and to the east, and built a turret on the south, putting my command squad and 2 guardsmen on the border. He comes in with like 3-4 units of fully reinforced guardsmen and I repulse him... barely.

After this, I build a mechanized command and build 2 hellhounds and he moves a small army outside of my base. I build another turret and send my hellhounds down to fight him, and again, he's repulsed.

After this, I make a move for his base, using Ogryns, my command squad, and two fully upgraded guardsmen squads with commissars on both. At this point, I build a Mars Patten majigger, pump out 3 basilisks, and a baneblade.

At's at this point my first attack on his base. My Ogryns take down a mechanized command and two turrets before getting killed. My baneblade goes around the other way and hits his base, supported by a basilisk. I fight down to his HQ, then blow it up after killing 2 of his techpriests. Thinking I killed all three, I taunt him.

Then... he kicks my ass with tanks. Lots and lots of tank. All in all, a very fun game. I'd love to have a rematch :)

Ah, this has rekindled my thirst to pay WA again. I think i might reinstall it...

Also, anything that helps me gauge/improve my gameplay...just waiting for Dark Crusade...

I think Karsykin squads should get rocket launchers. Other than that, I don't have any beefs with IG.

I wanted to play Winter Assault but I can't find myself a copy anywhere! I might as well just wait for Dark Crusades then... :(

Yeah the Hellhound owns. I love Dreadnoughts though.

Do you guys only play IG, because I'd love to see Wraithlords on Wraithlords and Dreads pummeling other Dreads, etc.

It was an assassination game. I was on the phone the entire fight. He had nearly billions of troops, plus a Baneblade.

Yeah, I find Chaos are hard to use. Cultists suck...well, they sound like they suck alot, if you catch my drift...
I suppose massing Beserkers is good against IG, but the tanks they have aren't nice.
I like Space Marines meself but am better with IG.

Canne wait for Necrons though...

The only race I'm really good with is Space Marines but I've started to play with Imperial Guard; Space Marines are boring now :P

I want Tau! Since I'm ussually using far range units! (No, you can't do a melee jump assault on me, unless, Tau doesn't have grenades and are incredibly slow.)
